In an effort to become a better person and sports presentation professional, I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't ask the following questions to those who say "he sucks" or no to a DJ.
1. Please explain in detail the reasoning behind: "Yoshi sucks."
What is it exactly about me that gives you the interpretation that "I suck?"
During my time at Rutgers, was it my music selection for the players? Was it the way that songs were mixed? Did my transitions, of getting from song a to song b bother you? What specifically about the above bothered you?
2. I completely agree with people when they want to hear more band. AGAIN, my time with the B1G Ten, I believe in being band heavy. I'm the music director for B1G Championships, and I'm in constant communication with the in game director so that there's a happy marriage between piped in music and two bands.
Travel around the country watching other bands and music directors marry their arts together to create their program's game day experience. So
For the band lovers, when do you want to hear the band?
Situationally what would you have the band do/play/chant to draw you into the game more?
And for those who legitimately don't like me as a person or what I do, I completely respect that. Your feelings are your feelings, but I would ask that you objectively examine your memories as to why me as a DJ sucks or any DJ in general for music within a game presentation format doesn't work for you.
Feel free to email me directly with your suggestions, call me or even schedule to meet me. I'll be more than happy to sit, share a drink and discuss your feelings, objectives and thoughts.
Thank you and Happy New Year.
