Perhaps we were playing him to the right side, hence he went to the left and is dominant either way? Super talented, but easy to dislike with his antics.Has no right hand. Only attacks the rim from the left side. It seems so obvious and easy to shade and only give room to go right. Basic defense. Can someone explain why it isnt actually easy ? What dont i understand ?
no. it’s clear he has no right hand. cliff didn’t shade one way or the other. basic stuff. Michigan clearly shaded Geo to the right, making him dribble left. Didnt work because Geo was hot tonight but it’s textbook.Perhaps we were playing him to the right side, hence he went to the left and is dominant either way? He had 5 total rebounds, not sure how that was divided between O and D, but suspect 2 is a reasonable guess for OIs it true that Dickinson and Diabate combined for 2 offensive boards?
DAMN.. I said that so many times last night.. why can't the coaches talk to Cliff and get him to play Dickinson as a lefty? He was always shading right. I kinda "get it".. most of the bigs he plays will be right-handed... but.. damn!Has no right hand. Only attacks the rim from the left side. They only had 5 as a team so it wouldn’t be surprisingIs it true that Dickinson and Diabate combined for 2 offensive boards?
I'll give you this observation. Clear as day and don't quite understand not overplaying the left either. BUT, then one time we did it DICKinson went right between the two defenders using his elbows ala Garza to clear them with no foul called. So maybe its give him his and defend the rest.Has no right hand. Only attacks the rim from the left side. It seems so obvious and easy to shade and only give room to go right. Basic defense. They could put Palmquist (sp) on somebody's shoulder. He's a lefty.DAMN.. I said that so many times last night.. why can't the coaches talk to Cliff and get him to play Dickinson as a lefty? I suppose Cliff cannot practice against anyone that size/ability.. nevermind a lefty.
According to the Yahoo sports app, Dickinson had zero offensive rebounds one and five defensive. Diabate had one offensive and nine total. Dickinson got his points but Cliff kept him off the glass. He had 5 total rebounds, not sure how that was divided between O and D, but suspect 2 is a reasonable guess for O
My daughter! LOL (Although my son told her to change it after he was making bucketsLiked the one sign in student section “Brickinson”
I said that all game basic defense deny him the left and force him into the middle with his right hand and also allows help; he just gave him the baseline and also the one play where he faked the pass and Cliff just completely turned his headHas no right hand. Only attacks the rim from the left side. It seems so obvious and easy to shade and only give room to go right. Basic defense. Can someone explain why it isnt actually easy ? What dont i understand ?
completely wrong he gave him the baseline his left like 4 times there is no way he was coached to do that and he had easy dunks or layupsI’d have to see what the spacing was on the floor at the time, but Cliff my have been told to force Dickinson to his left because that’s where the help would be. If the help was normally to the left then that would have forced Dickinson back to his right or he’d have to give up the ball.
Either way I think it was an excellent learning experience for Cliff. He’s a smart guy and he’ll not only figure out the best way to defend those moves, but he’ll develop a few of his own.
