Sitting out last year in order to attempt to sneak into the 1st round shouldve been everyone first sign. It was mine.

Mine too, but some just won't believe anything unless they have links. Sometimes your gut doesn't lie, there were obvious issues from the start. His head hasn't been in the right place since he got to UK IMO.

Yeah he is 19, not 35.
Love to see how some who are quick to point the finger at him, react to the same exposure he does/has at 19. I imagine most of you would be wetting the bed, I kinda believe some of you still do to this very day.

Except most of us aren't given a free ride to a great institution and access to the best facilities, training, coaching, and exposure in the nation.

Stop the coddling nonsense.

He is "getting paid" at UK.

On top of a LIFETIME college scholarship, he also receives:
-top flight coaching, training, diet, promotion and exposure that are ALL worthy of his time spent here.

Guess I had to "remind you" of that.:scream:

Lets not get carried away. I wont debate why college kids are being taken advantage of by the NCAA.

Calipari does his best to compensate these kids with life time scholarships etc.
Far better way to be compensated and it is not at college.
Pretty sure I dont have to spell it out for you.

I think we are all looking for a scapegoat...mob mentality found one.
We wonder why we are slipping on recruiting
Wonder no more
Hami is now
Briscoe
Willis
Skal
Wiltger
Archie
Etc...
Families of recruits research. We are one of a few programs that like to eat our young.
Don't try to convince me otherwise, know that others have pointed this out...

LMFAO, for guaranteed millions who the **** do you think you are saying that ?? seriously

There are probably on this board who would legit kill for that kind of cash.

most of you should be KU fans. Defend Vick when he is exposed for a hurting a woman yet throw him under the bus for missing some shots.

"Mr. Diallo a NBA team is willing to take you first round, we can guarantee millions"

Hami
"Nope F*** your millions, I want to play for Kentucky"

Get a ****ing clue idiot. Like anyone here would not do the same.

Hypocrisy is seriously the worst someone can be

Why wouldn't he just skip college then and go ahead and be a professional? Just train until the right dates and take a contract. Work your way to the pros that way why come to college in the first place?

Actually, I am rooting hard for the kid to turn it around and become the leader this team needs to take us into a LONG March!!

His actions and play up until this point have put him where he's at as a player right now. I hope he proves us ALL wrong and plays his way into a top 5 pick!! His individual success would propel this team into a deep tournament run!!

I think Diallo has been pushed from day one to not give a damn about this team and worry about himself. Personal opinion. I think when he leaves, Jones will spill it. I also think he will move into Briscoe's spot on the popularity latter of the Cal era.

Maybe he feels no one is their to support him. If he reads the garbage half you of you write, I'd rebel too. Easy to see what people say to him on social media, the peanut gallery on this board.
He is still a kid. I do not see a lack of effort. Guess what if he has a little attitude when the team plays like ****, that's probably a sign he does actually does care.Until i see him walking down court, laughing on the sidelines and not breaking a sweat, maybe then Ill believe his heart is not into it.
By all accounts, what everyone is saying on here is from a guy who actually cares to much.
think about it

Wait. So if you were a basketball player, playing for UK and the potential to be making millions of dollars you’d “rebel” if you saw a few posters on an online Kentucky message board “talking bad” about you??

lol. Grow up. Get some thick skin. That’s honestly what’s wrong with America these days (one of many things ) everyone gets so offended so easily

You realize how ludicrous it sounds for you to say you’d “rebel” right ?

And many of you here said he was for sure leaving last spring and selfish and a user and a liar.... surely i dont need to pull out actual quotes from the time machine?

Let's review once again...

The deal Cal made with him was to come early and sit. Kid was a top rated 2G and we had the opportunity to lock him in and have him on campus a semester early.

The deal was he didnt have to play to expose how unready he really was and to try out the NBA to see where he was, if they say you are good enough go...

Cal knew exactly what he was doing obviously. Everyone stating this BS last spring were wrong and yet people come back with the absolute same wrong argument?

The kid wasnt good enough to play or be drafted then, and he's not good enough to be drafted this year either...

Seriously? You think someone wouldn't pay him? Can't they go ahead to the G league or overseas?

Why, when he had a much better shot at getting drafted by playing for UK for a year? Take G League 26K? Seriously?

This is asinine. And you are a coach dont forget. Cal, the COACH, made the deal.

Blame the COACH coach.

Diallo did everything perfectly correct.

And we all would all done the same thing.

I am not good enough to even play D1 but I have all world athletic ability and awesome highlight videos.

NBA people were intrigued.

You will take me without me having to expose ALL my weaknesses and give me guaranteed millions? Hell yeah.

I dont make it, go to UK get better try again next season.

Not sure why sane people dont get this... I said it 100000000 times last spring, nothing has changed people.

False. If I was Diallo I wouldn’t give a flying F what a bunch of losers on a message board think of me.

He doesn’t care either. Nor do recruits. You put way to much stock into yourself and act as if everyone should be coddled

1. I had no issue with Cal taking him at the time. It made sense in the beginning.

2. If Cak recruited a player to hide him away and send him pro without a second of contribution, he needs to re-read his contract. That's not his job, and it's part of the problem.

Nah I don't have a problem with this. Of course the majority of the blame goes on Cal. Diallo and his family played things perfectly, for them.

We're talking past each other.

Brian I'm out of sports/coaching btw. I left teaching and started a truck company and have sort of taken over family business (car business).

Now if I could only make it so I don't have to go back.

Although, I just had a few boys, so I'm sure I'll coach them. They will be the toughest Mf's out there if nothing else.

I am not from Kentucky. From all accounts Kentucky is a state with high drug/opiate addition. Sadly, I think some people on this board suffer from addiction. I consider that a real problem and would not make light of it.
Sadly you chose to. God bless

You are a POS. Really, you are. You definitely don't write or contextualize good enough to be intelligent, that leaves ignorance and arrogance. I'll pass.

Why does Cal get zero credit for anything on here?

#1 This was a zero risk deal. HD didnt cost us another player, so what if he left, we were in the same boat we already were in.

And nobody gives a **** about what UK spends on a kid for one semester...

#2 Cal had a pretty good idea that HD wasnt getting drafted, and we found out soon after the draft he didnt impress many during workouts.

Because if you believe Diallo has turned into a team cancer, and hasn't bought in, you can look back at how he started his career here and it started with his head in the next level. People are just connecting dots and the seem to fit.

You asked why I don't blame the coach then when I said I did, you want to know why I don't credit him? I'm going in circles and now a social justice warrior has infested the thread and I don't even remember which point We're on.

Team cancer is a very harsh accusation, as you know, and we have zero proof of that. As i said, if his problems are only on the court we give the kid slack playing his very first season. A disruptor is a totally different conversation.

The thing is, when a player will not listen to simple instructions and yells back at his coach nearly in his THIRD year with the team? Come on man, you and I both know the chances of it being true are real.

I will say I do not know 100% but if that's a kid who is trying his *** off and wants to be here, he's fooling a lot of people.

Some very good posters wanting Diallo gone... unless he is a disruptor off the court then wanting any freshman to leave because of their play on the court makes zero sense.

Kids mature and get better every single season.

I had more reason to get rid of my 18 year old than them ever kicking HD off the team for sure, but glad I let him stick around, he's a good young man nowadays.

Honestly doesn't make any sense to me.
Brian, my post was a direct result of what I have personally seen on TV about Diallo’s conduct and attitude. Then when you have a total UK homer like Tyler Thompson post what she did about the conduct of Hami Saturday, it’s cause for concern. Talking back to Cal and yelling at teammates isn’t being a team player. And unfortunately we don’t have a Ulis to take control of the situation. Hopefully he will see the light this year but something is amiss.

If Hami is that big of a problem and Cal doesnt take care of it then it is 100% on Cal.

What if Hami is a very good kid, practices hard, good team mate and player, but simply is not mature enough to keep his emotions in check during games?

Do we can that kid and kick him to the curb?

When Cal sits his *** for a couple of games then we know Hami is an attitude problem.

Keep in mind Cal wields the power to totally destroy a players NBA aspirations.

I need more proof.

As to Thompson, she can go make me sandwich...

Well she probably can but doubt she would. As far as kicking him to the curb, I never said that. But to be blunt, his play hasn’t earned him the right to jaw at Cal or his teammates. Wall and Cousins talked the talk but they also walked the walk. Hami’s play has been underwhelming, to be kind. There is only one kid on this team who has earned the right to talk- Shai.

You are missing the entire concept of this thread-or are choosing to do so on purpose. It has nothing to do with missing shots or making poor decisions. Hell most of them can’t hit the broad side of a barn but you don’t see them yelling at Cal or their teammates? You getting the picture?

obviously I was using missing a shot when describing being upset watching a game.
If you read my earlier posts I clearly addressed the issue of this notion Diallo does not care, cancer of the team, arguing etc.
But people taking what I write for their words not their silly interpretations is the exception here not the rule

She had a tagline under her profile pic forever that said "And no, I won't make you a sandwich".

I generally like her stuff.

Outside normal driving through
and fort campbell

That is my extent of the great commonwealth of Kentucky

So, if you've never lived in Kentucky, and have only "driven through" and, based on your posts today, seem to have nothing but hateful contempt for the people living there--viewing them only as "opiate-addicted" idiots--then WHY the hell do you come to this board claiming to be a UK fan?

Why would any self-respecting human being attach himself to a fan base that he apparently has such utter dislike toward ...UNLESS that person is not actually who he pretends to be?
