People, if you think this message board wields this kind of power, I don't know what to tell you.

If it is the message board making him feel insecure, then he needs to roll because he's an insecure little baby who is of no use to UK.

You do realize we cant have it both ways right? On one hand, they're ready to be millionaires and don't need to be educated, they are headed to a mans game and the fans that want them back just cant deal with that.

On the other hand, mean tweets and message board posters can make them shrivel up and wilt?

How does that work?
Lol. Exactly. Diallo doesn’t give two ***** what is posted on an anonymous message board and probably doesn’t even know this place exists.

Can't imagine a GM who would draft him. I do, however, think he is gone, at the end of the year, even though he will probably have to go to Europe.
Brooklyn will draft him with 28th pick

Maybe he feels no one is their to support him. If he reads the garbage half you of you write, I'd rebel too. Easy to see what people say to him on social media, the peanut gallery on this board.
He is still a kid. I do not see a lack of effort. Guess what if he has a little attitude when the team plays like ****, that's probably a sign he does actually does care.Until i see him walking down court, laughing on the sidelines and not breaking a sweat, maybe then Ill believe his heart is not into it.
By all accounts, what everyone is saying on here is from a guy who actually cares to much.
think about it
Agree, he has been ridiculed and second guessed since he arrived on campus. Sad but true

Sitting out last year in order to attempt to sneak into the 1st round shouldve been everyone first sign. It was mine.
Again, Brooklyn was going to take him but Diallo came back to play for Kentucky.

This will be used against UK, you can guarantee it. Love this fanbase sometimes. I wouldn't send my dog to UK after reading 1.5 yrs of ******** on this board about him

Why does he continue to start and play so many minutes? I just don’t get it.
Truly, Cal pulled UK out of the junk heap. He did. But some times, some times...I wonder what he's looking at. Cause I'm not seeing the same thing. Now, I'm not a HOF coach. Never coached. But he feels a duty to a kid's ranking, most times, that he shouldn't. If a 5 star kid doesn't have it, doesn't bring it, don't play him.

Actually Diallo should take good long look in the mirror. That’s where the improvement begins. You don’t yell at the judge in court and then act insulted when you are called out for it.

Whether he’s frustrated because he’s worried about his draft stock or frustrated about the teams play, I don’t know. He does play hard and tries to make plays, so much that I think he makes stupid mistakes committing bad fouls, going for steals or forcing a jumper when we’re on a drought. Whatever it is, I hope he gets his mind right. Talking back to a coach and yelling at other players is a red flag.

Sit his *** and anyone else who doesn't comply. It's an honor to wear that jersey not the other way around. Quit pandering to recruits and draw a line in the sand. If a potential recruit don't like it big deal.

You're funny. No evidence anyone was going to take Diallo in the first round only rumors pre draft. Im guessing you dont have any quotes from the Brooklyn brass stating this as fact.

Ill sit back and listen to one GOOD reason why he couldnt play and contribute to the team last year while he was waiting on the combine.

No comment for this thread. I made my feelings known last year. I decided to not single out any one player this year. I always make my criticisms about either the team, or the coaches.

Yeah he is 19, not 35.
Love to see how some who are quick to point the finger at him, react to the same exposure he does/has at 19. I imagine most of you would be wetting the bed, I kinda believe some of you still do to this very day.

Diallo exposed who he was last year. Shows up to UK early and then says he’s not ready to play then declares for the draft as soon as possible and only comes back with a couple of hours to spare before the deadline.

I knew he was selfish and not the type of guy you want at this program.

Here is a quote for you...“They don’t know (how you play). Well, don’t show them,” Calipari said. “They all like you without watching you. Good. The more you don’t play, the more they like you, the more they’re impressed.

Your comments tell me enough how you think, so there is no changing that. He didn't play because he wasn't ready, simple as that. You don't know, I don't know nor do I question his decision. It is HIS decision, it is easy to pick apart a person if they are on display. Guarantee there are things I your life and decisions you have made that don't need to be questioned. Sounds like you get off on feeling like you are right, and nit picking 19 yr old men. Not gonna give you the satisfaction. I'll sit back and ignore you so don't worry I won't respond to stupid.

Understandable. However, MY critique, much like Coach Cal's, is not meant to be derogatory, but instructional.:D

Appreciate the honesty and returning to set the record straight. Some people are too quick to say everything is fine and underplay situations. That's the problem with this country in general. Everything is fine fine fine.

Diallo has been an obvious problem for a long time. When he leaves, Jones will spill it.
I haven't thought things are right in this country for 30 years. Both parties too deeply entrenched in their ideals as opposed to reaching across the aisle. Radical right versus the radical left. It's lunacy at it's best. JMO

Sounds like he is frustrated with his play, teammates play and just not handling it well. He needs to stop talking and focus on doing one thing well. Or he might be the type that lashes out when things don’t go his way, if that’s the case then there is no fixing it.

well if Cal is a HOF coach and a kid back talks him and argues with him, then he needs to have a heart to heart with him like pack your dam bags son. do you think Frank Martin, hell even K would put up with that crap. Bobby Knight would have done choked him out. BCG would have KICKED him off the bus and made him walk home.

So he wasnt ready to give basically breather minutes at UK but was ready to go to the NBA?

Not nitpicking, just calling it as I see it. A healthy, draft ready, highly touted hs prospect should be able to contribute a bit on a team hes receiving a scholarship to be on, should he not? Everyone knows why he sat out so dont be gullible.

I take no joy in the fact that his game has been exposed this year. I regret that he didnt get some of the kinks in his game worked out last season with no pressure to be the man. I believe by contributing and helping his team however he could last year may have helped him springboard into a more successful season for him this year.

I was wrong to assume you had an agenda, that was a well thought out response. I apologise for saying you were stupid. I guess with all the negativity I saw only negative vs actual well thought out posts. Again my bad. We as fans have had a rough year with how we lost in March til now...

Not a good post in my opinion.

Kid was nowhere near ready last year. Immediately before he arrived here he was being chastised by both HS and AAU coaches for lack of effort and other things he needed to work on.

If you cant tell by the way he's played this year that he wasnt unseating Hawkins last season then you guys need to go go back to bball 101.

And jc is correct posting Cal's quote:

“They don’t know (how you play). Well, don’t show them,” Calipari said. “They all like you without watching you. Good. The more you don’t play, the more they like you, the more they’re impressed."

Of course the kid tried to slide in and so would you and so would your kid... he wanted to sneak in like Orton did.

Selfish? Hell, the way he's playing that may have been his only chance unless he returns next year.

Trying to gain millions of dollars by playing a game is never selfish and it is very mush hypocritical for anyone to state to state so. I would also add that anyone that says they wouldnt have tried it as well if in the same scenario allow me to say...

What happens when 19 yr old Diallo starts hearing it from the NBA fans for his piss poor attitude that are 1000 times more brutal than the posters on this little humble board?

The NBA is a MAN's league.

When you are getting paid it is a different story. Did not think I would have remind someone of that.

Maybe lay off the meth and realize you’re angry at your parents; not us. You’re a psycho.

If you’re not ready to play college basketball, don’t freaking show up early and turn down the chance to contribute and then bail. Stay gone or don’t come at all, idiot.

I am not from Kentucky. From all accounts Kentucky is a state with high drug/opiate addition. Sadly, I think some people on this board suffer from addiction. I consider that a real problem and would not make light of it.
Sadly you chose to. God bless

I'm not sure why you keep posting such a definitive argument when you either ignore or choose to forget his recruitment?

The deal Cal made with him was to come early and sit.

Try out the NBA to see where you are, if they say you are good enough go...

Cal knew exactly what he was doing obviously. Everyone stating this BS last spring were wrong and yet people come back with the absolute same wrong argument?

The kid wasnt good enough to play or be drafted then, and he's not good enough to be drafted this year either...

Some very good posters wanting Diallo gone... unless he is a disruptor off the court, wanting any freshman to leave because of their play on the court makes zero sense.

Kids mature and get better every single season.

I had more reason to get rid of my 18 year old than them ever kicking HD off the team for sure, but glad I let him stick around, he's a good young man nowadays.

Honestly doesn't make any sense to me.

He is "getting paid" at UK.

On top of a LIFETIME college scholarship, he also receives:
-top flight coaching, training, diet, promotion and exposure that are ALL worthy of his time spent here.

Guess I had to "remind you" of that.:scream:
