No, but he’s terrible. The gap between his skills and Big10 ability is wider than anyone else’s, including Hayes.
At least Pike finally figured that out. Probably only put him in the game for laughs.
Were you laughing when he was our best player vs. MSU with 26 points. At least he's tough.
We are 26 games in with no set rotation. When he plays, Derkack looks like a guy pressing for more minutes rather than simply playing. Mich State was an outlier but the kid hasn’t made a bucket in game flow in 6 games since MSU. At some point, maybe Pike could get the kid an easy look.
He definitely presses too hard trying to make an impression but at least he's attempting to do something
4TDs in one game for Polk High doesn’t wipe away the stink. Derkack doesn’t even look like he’s playing basketball most of the time.
Instead he’s playing some sort of hideous cross between roller-derby and caber toss.
This basically sums up nearly every player on the roster after they have 1 good game.

There's nothing to get. He doesn't have a game, or not basketball at least. Is the NEC actually a basketball conference or a playground for misfits?
Remember, many fans here thought Wagner was a decent team, even after watching them play, because they were picked to be co-champs of the NEC. They were awful. Not great, high level in the NEC.
Cannot question his effort. He does put it all out there. But I wish he'd get the message that if the rim is rejecting you 6 times straight maybe try a layup instead of a 7th rejection.
He's been bad, but some of the older fans have seen worse: Darko Matejasevic and Jamar Holcombe to name 2.
