I hope Derkack transfers after this season or even during this season. He’s absolutely awful. Constantly drives into 3 defenders and doesn’t even look to kick it out. Then he shoots 3s even though he shoots like 25%!!

he’s awful. hes being exposed for lack on athleticism and skill. Can’t shoot, can’t finish over high major players, overdrives almost every time he touches the ball and now he can’t defend well either. There’s a reason why he was an NEC level recruit

He takes a lot of contact and draws a lot of fouls. He draws more FTA per possession than anyone on the team but Harper. Tonight there would be no whistle for that type of contact, though, so it was futile to even try.

For a player that was supposed to be a defensive specialist, why does he take as many shots and poor drives to the basket as he does. The offense needs to be run through DH.
He had Grant chasing around, and losing, Loyer early on. Didn't really notice who else he covered.
There was a point in tonight's game that he had the ball, the bench said something to him, he crossed his man and took a foul line jumper that went in. Then looked at the bench and made a gesture like "what?"
Then proceeded to continuously get baited into driving and getting stripped or blocked from behind by help defense. Happened on like 3 straight possessions.
Maybe I read into the whole thing wrong, but I felt he should have been sat down after making the jumper.

He won’t be drawing a lot of fouls going forward, you can tell the last couple of games teams have figured him out. Let him drive out of control, stand up straight and don’t foul him, because he will likely miss or throw the ball away.
I feel bad for some of these guys. I don’t want to dump on them. It’s not their fault coach failed to realize that a great defensive player in the NEC would not translate in the B1G. I’m really struggling how he missed this badly. It’s not one guy. It’s three.

That play was hilarious. 0 excuse for him to not pass the ball up top and reset but he was refusing to even consider passing it. He delivered his only good play of the game on it though
He also just loses focus and relaxes too often
When he actually locks in and looks like he's trying to play intense D he does a good job but it it's rare for some reason

cmon.. he’s been fouled plenty with no call.. in the early games.. he has gotten some calls since then and, yes, he is too aggressive on O at times pressing some minor edge and hoping to get fouls on defenders. He is not the only one that only seems to penetrate to shoot.. it is a contagion
