Google AI Overview of the amount of illegal immigrants in the USA.
Estimates of uncounted undocumented immigrants vary widely, with some researchers suggesting an undercount of around 10%. While estimates placed the population at 11–14 million as of 2022–2023, some models suggest the total could be as high as 16 to 29 million, indicating millions may not be captured by traditional surveys.
- Undercount Estimates: Researchers trying to measure hidden populations often add about 10% to their calculations to compensate for undercounting, though some critics argue this is too low.
- Methodology Challenges: The "residual method" used by groups like Pew Research Center relies on Census Bureau data, which may fail to capture individuals who avoid interaction with government officials.
- Total Population Estimates: While some sources estimated 11 million in 2022, others found the population reached a record 14 million in 2023, and that unauthorized immigration reached a record high.
- Alternative Estimates: Some researchers, such as those from Yale, have suggested the population could be significantly higher than the 11–14 million mainstream range.

You're such a dumbass. The number one trait of a magat is their undying support for their mandarin colored cult leader. The Dems don't have a leader and certainly one I that follow but you stupidly spout we are the same. Trump is your damn religion, your golden calf who walks on water. Dems don't worship any politician Screech.
11-14 million illegals is the widely understood number of total illegals from multiple sources and approximately 3.5 - 5.3 million came in under Biden, but just like the submissive cultist you are, you hear Mango say 20 million so it automatically becaomes the truth in magadonia.
Are you tone deaf??LOL.. doubling down on the cult line. Congrats.
Trump isn't my religion. Laughing at TDS is. Get a clue for once.
What does "becaomes" mean?
The cult has a really good one in you. Congrats to them. Have they lured you with 70 virgins in heaven?
You had democrat mayors asking the Biden administration to stop the flow. Now you are telling us that was all fake. Not real.
Yes, you are in a cult.
Are you tone deaf??
it's just me, but I believe that part of the problem is that we don't know how many people are in the country illegally. I see a lot of debates on how much illegals are contributing to the economy, or how much illegals are taking in entitlements. How can we possibly know that if we don't know how many there are?I know you are but what am I?

I agree that it's an inexact science but nothing points to 20 million coming through under Biden. I don't think 20 million came through under Biden, but I do think there are at least that many or more undocumented folks here.I agree that it's an inexact science but nothing points to 20 million coming through under Biden. That's a purely political, absurd number used for effect.
Ding, Ding. Ding! I agree with you 100% and not only that, we should re-direct that money to other, more pressing priorities. The inflow has been stopped since the border was closed so time to move forward and accept that we won't remove them all, nor should we.I don't think 20 million came through under Biden, but I do think there are at least that many or more undocumented folks here.
That's why I believe we need democrats and republicans to come to the realization that we're never going to deport that many people. Nor should we. Many, if not most of these people have established lives here, work hard, raise their families, and contribute to their communities/American society. It really shouldn't be that hard to put all the BS behind us, accept reality and come up with a reasonable immigration plan
redirect what money? If you're talking ICE, can't close them out until state and local law enforcement step up and agree to arrest and prosecute the criminal aliens. Right now they don't have the authority to deport, not that couldn't become a task.Ding, Ding. Ding! now, while we're solving the problems of the country, let's talk taxes and spending. We need to put aside the buzzwords - tax the rich, end the freeloaders, whatever - and get to the basic understanding that we have a fiscal problem that left unaddressed is going to bring us all down. We are not taking in enough revenue and we have too much going out. we need to find a way to to a balance...and given our current position somehow get to a surplus, without cratering the economy. I don't profess to know the right answer, but I do believe that just tinkering around the edges isn't getting us to where we need to be. We might be better off taking the entire tax code, scrap it and start over.Ding, Ding. Ding! There are other threads for this and I don't have all the answers but not allowing the tax cuts to expire for at least the top earners has screwed us for a generation. Trump also removed the funding boost for the IRS that was used to catch wealthy tax cheats that brought in an extra billion dollars alone in 2024. You have to start there if you want to look for solutions, none of which will be solved by Republicans, including his hare-brained, chaotic tariff scheme.now, while we're solving the problems of the country, let's talk taxes and spending. Social security need to get fixed and the sooner the better. Even a math dunce can see that we are not taking in enough money to keep the current benefits intact. So something has to give, and this problem isn't getting better with age.
I could go on, but I don't want to solve everything without you...ideas?
don't know much about tax cuts for the top earners, and don't know the details for the IRS cuts (so why am I typing this??). But I do know about inserting efficiencies into the process to reduce human interaction...I would think that a process so quantitatively oriented as taxes would lend itself well for AI. One of the things that we learned from DOGE is that the IRS and multiple other agencies were woefully behind in their data systems - old computers, outdated software so, a good manager should be able to integrate better systems to enable reduction of humans. That would take care of the vast majority of taxpayers/returns which are relatively simple, which then would free up other agents to handle the more detailed returns of high earners. There are other threads for this and I don't have all the answers but not allowing the tax cuts to expire for at least the top earners has screwed us for a generation. IRS Enforcement Boost Was Supposed to Last 10 Years. Congress Killed It in Under Three.
The IRS was set to overhaul how it audits the ultra-rich. Now most of that funding is gone.itep.org

It shouldn't be confusing at all, if you can read.I’m confused.
is 11-14 million not a problem???
That wasn’t my claim. It shouldn't be confusing at all, if you can read.
If there are 14 million here TOTAL, the majority of whom came over before Biden, do you think that makes it ok to claim that 25 million came in during Biden's term? Do I need to explain to you how that math don't math?
Why is lying so prolific and constant with all you magas? It's gotten to a point where it's shocking if one of you says something completely true. Speaking of, I'm still waiting for you to prove the list of lies you told about me earlier this week or issue an apology if you want any respect. That's what a real man would do.
That wasn't relevant to my conversation but no, I don't think it's as big of a problem as you and Trump do. The majority of those people have been here for years, lead productive lives and don't cause us any problems, though they do pay a **** ton of taxes for entitlements they'll never receive. That wasn’t my claim.
My claim is about immigration in general. The fact that we have “14 million” illegal immigrants is insane. No doubt it’s actually more than that.
do you believe 14 million illegal immigrants is a problem?
Also, I must have missed the post about the lies.
This string of lies that you said I'm ok with. I immediately responded and asked you to find a quote(s) from me that corroborates your claim. Still waiting. That wasn’t my claim.

All socialists. All need tampons. All ok with trans ideologies on kids. All ok with killing babies. Ok with rapists, murderers, assaulters being out back on the streets. All ok with defunding the police. All ok with open borders. I could go on and on. Think the “bottom of the gutter” comment reflects their ideologies.
so, I agree just about 100% with everything in your post. I do have a couple of "exceptions or concerns". One of the things that I think is unique is that we debate over the number of undocumented persons in the US when, in real fact, we don't know. We have studies and estimates, but we really don't know. I think the same thing applies to how much ****ton of taxes they're paying. How do we really know that if we don't know how many are really here? I admit, it's likely we'll never know and in the Seinfeld mold "serenity now!" it probably really doesn't matter as long as we're not paying benefits - and that's another debate. That wasn't relevant to my conversation but no, I don't think it's as big of a problem as you and Trump do. The border is closed so we should keep it that way, remove the criminals, put the newer arrivals through the asylum process and create a path to citizenship for the others. In no way, shape or form do I believe it would make us better if we deported all of them and the absurd amount of money being spent for that goal would be much better spent elsewhere.
That's an interesting way of describing it. Another way to describe would be that the 5 democrat Gov nominees are siphoning votes from each other compared to only 2 Republican nominees. And since California runs a top two primary system, the top two candidates who receive the most votes advance to the general, regardless of party affiliation.Interesting. A democrat basically calls the CA democratic party racist. Must be true then.

In early March, California Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks published an open letter urging Democratic contenders to consider dropping out if they didn’t see a realistic path to a primary victory.
“If you do not have a viable path to make it to the general election, do not file to place your name on the ballot for the primary election,” Hicks wrote in the letter just days before the March 6 filing deadline. But no candidate decided to heed Hicks’ call, and the letter drew a scathing response from Thurmond, who asserted that it was aimed at pressuring “candidates of color” to end their gubernatorial bids.
“Our political system is rigged,” Thurmond said. “The California Democratic Party is essentially telling every candidate of color in the race for governor to drop out.”
Not true. He asked the lowest polling candidates to drop out of the race and coincidentally, the lowest polling Democrats are people of color. It's unfortunate that some view this through the lens of race but if Democrats want to win, this is the way.Interesting. A democrat basically calls the CA democratic party racist. Must be true then.
