Saw him this afternoon he was in the arena for the medal round in all Rutgers gear
If Shawver stays and Gibson is close to 100%/drops to 125 to challenge Smith, I'm good with that for next year.
What is ridiculous? Peterson is gone, and Gibson/Smith are the only options. It isn't likely someone better will be showing up.
But they will replace him...at 125 and for many years to come even. Will they be as good? Who knows. Gibson was a pretty high level PSU recruit, wasn't he? Your ridiculous response is ridiculous.

Without him making a statement it’s all just speculation right now. Some folks said he was upset with coaching decisions at the national tournament. Not challenging a call in his final match
That is total ********. He was poached a day after getting his comp for his last year and given a godfather offer he could not refuse. Very simple and good for him.

The NCAA would probably not give Iowa wrestling the time of day and Rutgers would get hit with sanctions to punish us for Iowa's misdeeds.
Arizona state filed a grievance last year against Iowa and were laughed at , West Virginia was all over twitter the other day claiming they just sent in a complaint against Iowa for repeatedly trying to contact Ty Watters and his family but I’m sure nothing will happen
If the NCAA cared about wrestling at all, the National tournament wouldn’t be on the same weekend as the first round of the basketball tournament.
If he didn’t come back to see if we would match iowas offer then it’s not just about money?
If you file a grievance and it gets ignored, shame on the NCAA. If a process exists and you do nothing, shame on you. You have no complaint to stand on.

I get people say they will root for Dean on Iowa but doesn't it make sense to root against every Iowa wrestler since they are poaching from everywhere? Thats what Ill be doing.
FYI getting guys who enter the portal isn't poaching. Iowa didn't contact Bailey or Williams 1st . And I know most won't like hearing this but they didn't make 1st contact with Dean either

Maybe maybe not but they’ve been calling and leaving voicemails on Ty Watters and his families phones for over a month and he is not in the portal and they did the same thing with him last year …teemer was at a ASU team dinner and an hr later was a on plane to Iowa and committed

You’re quoting someone who generally provides good info and isn’t one to make things up. I’m sure there’s ways that these guys contact one another through back channels. Wrestling is a tight knit community where everyone knows everyone so theres definitely mutual contacts.

Why wouldn't I question him? Yes, he has good info, but It's been reported for two years now that Iowa has been contacting guys before they've been in the portal or even thought about transferring. But O, I see, this time it's different because west2east says so.
Been here for years. I lived in NJ until 3 years ago and would stop in the room at times. Not covering for anyone just telling people what I know.

FYI most of these athletes contact someone on the team or RTC prior to entering the portal to gauge interest. Or the parents contact a parent. I know those aren't the juicy rumors people want but it's the truth. Dean was contacting teams before he portaled and not just one
