The big plus on him as far as I can tell is he recruits FL well.I wonder about Beckton. With the RC title being given to Held, that means he is only coaching TE, a lot lighter load than all the other assistants.

Doesn't the TE coach normally help out with the OL?The big plus on him as far as I can tell is he recruits FL well.

It’s tough but if we’re not paying Held and Fisher, they will look elsewhere. LSU and Clemson has a hell of a staff and that’s due to their commitment to shell out the dough.Reminds me of the business world: company loses money, execs all get bonuses. NU fails to make a bowl, coaches get big raises.
You have to pay the guys who are producing. When SEC teams are trying to hire your guys that should tell you that the record hasn't diminished how they're viewed by their peers. It's only Husker fans who have much doubt that NU is going to start climbing. I was listening to a national radio show the other day and when a national analyst was asked which historically successful program (think the options were Miami, FSU, Tenn etc) would be the first to return to prominence his answer was immediately Nebraska and it was because of Frost and his staff.Reminds me of the business world: company loses money, execs all get bonuses. NU has a losing record, coaches get big raises.
There were several very good reasons for Dawson to go back to the east coast. He is VERY qualified to be our special teams coordinator and OLB coach. Valuable guy with tons of experience. No doubt he knew last year that he was going to try to go back so wasn't as involved with recruiting as he would have been otherwise. Hopefully he's here now for a while.
Sure, it keeps going until it ends.Reminds me of the business world: company loses money, execs all get bonuses. NU has a losing record, coaches get big raises.
From the tweets, it seems like some of his old guys are excited. So that's good at least.
Look for Bill Snyder’s kid to be in the mix as special team analyst. Down to Nebraska and Texas from what I am understanding.
A bidding war?Snyder for the win, between us and taxess
Except only 2 of the 10 got raises.Reminds me of the business world: company loses money, execs all get bonuses. NU has a losing record, coaches get big raises.
And Dawson actually took a big pay cut from his previous salary at Nebraska to come back.Except only 2 of the 10 got raises.

Maybe he’ll still get paid by the Giants this year?Dawson's salary goes way up after this season:
c'mon man. I would say that UCF's D line was pretty damned good. When I google "New York Giants special teams" the first story that comes up from "empiresportsmedia.com" is titled, "Special Teams A Bright Spot In Poor 2019". Seems he did okay in that position.I’m ok with Dawson being back but can someone please point me to a unit he coached that I should be impressed with?
seems he helped improve the Giant's special teams......Dawson coaching: Giants OLBs, NU and UCF DLs, Iggles DL (asst.), BC STs, New Hamp LBs OL and DC. 20 years of experience as a coach. He's a Chip Kelly guy who took a shine to Frost.
Ok Special Teams were a bright spot for NYG in 2019. That’s probably why Thomas McGaughey their SP Teams cord wasn’t fired. Mike Dawson coached their OLB. I’m super confused why Dawson and their improvement on SP Teams are relatedc'mon man. I would say that UCF's D line was pretty damned good. I'm sure there's some explanation but seems weird to me that his salary fluctuates so much in such a short timeframe.Dawson's salary goes way up after this season:
Not a matter of if there's enough money or not. Of course there is, that's a given by now. The curiosity stems more from how valued he appears to be by Frost/NU and if there's some message that can be gleaned from the salary structure as to the standing of the coaches. Not much else to talk about in the off season.Who really cares what he makes? There's no limit on what we're allowed to pay coaches and NU has the money.
Everyone on here fussing over raises and salaries. The money is there. Can they coach or not?
Journal star indicates Bill Snyder's son could be brought in as special assistant and coach special teams. He had St at KState. So who will be coaching Special Teams?
