is it sadder that they think they're getting away with it, or that many believe nothing wrong was done in the first place?

that is even scarier
a lot of UL fans think it is ok for a coach to buy prostitutes for players
a lot of UNC fans have no problem with just handing out grades like it is candy

Bev,when you think about Baylor,UNC and UL(let's throw Penn St in there also collectively all of college athletics begins to look pretty scary. What are we willing to do,what are we willing to overlook and how many victims are we willing to trample in the name of winning in big time college programs?

Some stuff we would rather not know about goes on everywhere,it makes college sports a little less fun to watch.

Someone need to step up and say we aren't playing these cheating SOB's anymore until the NCAA does it's job and addresses the issue.

that's true, Doc -
I know UK has stuff in our past that we are not proud of - but we do acknowledge it happened, and we DID pay the penalties for it.

the ncaa** needs a complete revamping - it's impossible to get anyone truly unbiased, but surely we can find someone with enough integrity to enforce the rules?

I don't give a hoot how long this case drags on. I want to see the NCAA do what is right. I don't claim to have enough information on UNC's situation to decide what "right" is.
I do know enough that some serious sanctions are in order. They have been using inelligable players for three decades. I think there will be precedence set here with the removal of NC banners.

And if that happens, Louisville should be very worried.

UNC has been cheating since Frank McGuire in the 1950's and the depth and scope of the corruption has grown into every aspect of society in Chapel Hill, the State of North Carolina, and all who embrace the "Carolina Way", a reflection of the morals and values of this country especially over the past 8 years.

The "Carolina Way" will forever be known as a farce to all people. The UNCheat fans can think it is something good if they want but everyone else knows it means they cheat.

I have to laugh at the idea that UNC also prides itself on their code of ethics. Hundreds of athletes blatantly violated that code by participating in fake classes. Yet, UNC fans are so proud of their athletes for receiving fake degrees. I can't even make this stuff up!

I can't believe that they had the gall to tell the NCAA that this was partly their fault. They should have done something about this the last time they investigated. Wow! They are so pompous that they probably believe this bile. UNC got a little too full of themselves. Now it seems that they have pissed the NCAA off.
