How naïve you are. Do you just think that somebody at the NCAA said, "Hey, it's a really slow day. Let's send Kansas a NOA." If they didn't have enough to nail a blueblood, they wouldn't waste their time, money, and effort. If I am wrong, just come back after KU is exonerated. Somehow, I don't think we'll here from you.
Never hearing from that dumb bastard would be awesome I must say

OK Ace, think what you want. KU admitting Grassnola was a booster played right into the hands of the NCAA, essentially, you stuck your own neck in the GD noose. They where willing to rule DeSousa cleared for the time being. Knowing that eventually getting KU to admit he is a booster would then not only make him lose it, but get proof of more severe infractions. It was a beautifully acted out master plan by the NCAA to get Kansas to admit guilt of more serious infractions, kind of a domino effect. Instead of one, they now have several rules broken.

The Federal Court already addressed that by ruling these “boosters” victimized Kansas. The Judge even ordered restitution.

If the NCAA wants to ignore the Federal ruling and decide on their own Gassnola IS a booster, again I say: good luck and God bless.

What I don't understand is KU agreed that Gatto was a booster in order to get their player reinstated, but yet Gatto admitted in court he payed the player. To me that's an immediate violation. It's no different than the Eddie Sutton package scandal only KU openly admitted it. I'll never grasp the reasoning on the part of KU as to why they admitted any relationship with him.

That never happened, which is why it prob seems so far fetched.

This post reeks of insecurity and fear. Days like these last few are part of the reason it feels good to be a UK fan. Damn it feels good to be at the top watching lesser programs squirm.

In 2018, the Federal jury ruled Kansas a victim of these Adidas employees. Judge Kaplan ordered them to pay Kansas restitution. Judge Kaplan also denied the NCAA request for wiretaps and other info on the grounds it was “all speculation” - and hence of no legal

Good luck with this one, fellas.

Spin this if you want. They were victims in the regard of having shady deals going on that for example cost deSousa a season. Billy Preston another, KU spent a lot recruiting, training, and staff to work with him for nothing. A bundle illegally got spent on Preston that Self and Townsend wanted. Gassnola pats. Anyone with a brain saw the videos of Preston begging for a UK offer. Anyone with 1/2 a brain could meet his mother and say “HELL NO”. Can’t be out flashing the cash. In those ways, along with other players KU was absolutely defrauded. By Gatto, Gassnola, Self and Townsend. Yep, victims. Good luck with that.

If that’s all the NCAA’s got, they’re firing off a little wooden toy pop-gun.

Oh they got nothing. You know they send letters for no reason. Nobody who ever got a letter was found guilty of an infraction.

Funny thing is, the idiots in Kansas are trying to convince themselves of that. The fools actually believe it.

Boy oh boy, you just do not get it. Did you notice the NCAA got Kansas to admit he was a booster AFTER the FBI deal ? They knew they had to get them to say he was a booster out of their own mouth. Now they can say "OK, you said Grassnola was a booster right ?", "OK, now explain the text messages between coach Self and Grassnola talking about buying recruits."

Next thing you will say is , Townsend does not make you the least bit nervous. You know damn well in the end, he will be the knuckle head that will bury KU basketball. He just can't help himself. No telling what all the NCAA has on that dumbass. If you are not worried about Townsend, you should be. But keep putting your head in the sand, our Dirty Bird little brothers did the EXACT same thing. And we all know how that turned out. KU = UL.

They can have Townsend’s scalp if they want to save face and act like they won something. Townsend and 2 schollies in 2028, sounds about a’ight.

But there is one small little problem. Townsend is a employee of KU. So, what he does / done, also falls in the lap of the university. Can't just kick assistants to the curb and say "he was a bad apple." No,no, no, if he had wrongdoings while coaching at KU, KU must pay the price. And they will, keep saying things never happened. It is called (not nieve, that insinuates they did not know), but turning a blind eye. Ricky Three Stacks tried that at Louisville, and tried putting all the stinky **** on his assistants. Well, little thing called coaches should be overlooking their assistants to make sure they are on the up and up. But hard for Self to do that when he was One Upping Townsend.

The FBI trial found those men guilty of frauding the universities.... not the basketball program. The prosecution gave the argument that the basketball program is not the university and won on those grounds.

Thanks for picking out one thing dakich said. The problem is, if you’re Kansas they have to give those guys some incentive. Ayton didn’t like the money Kansas offered so he went to Arizona to get his 100k

@Nooneputsbabyinacorner come help your boyfriend

Let’s just clear this right up. It does not make even one little bit of difference what Dakich says about this.

If that’s all the NCAA’s got, they’re firing off a little wooden toy pop-gun.

Obviously that is not even close to being all the NCAA has on Self. You do not have to be a physics major to see Kansas has been offering inducements outside the red lines to recruits for a long time.

Wildcat-Stl. ,

They did, but this is not a criminal court. It is a infractions hearing. The FBI had it set out to
punish runners and shoe execs, not coaches and universities. Just like the NCAA, but they will be the opposite, they are setting out to punish wrongdoings and recruiting violations at universities, not have individuals go on trial for breaking laws. Laws and College recruiting standards are totally different by how they are governed.

Not really the same, but like a civil suit compared to a criminal case. People have been found not guilty of murder or other crimes tried for, but then lost in a civil suit for the same thing. The court overseeing the FBI investigation threw out and did not allow certain pieces of evidence that the NCAA may see fit to use.

For the poster who said they where found not guilty on charges in the FBI trial.

They did, but this is not a criminal court. It is a infractions hearing. The FBI had it set out to

Just like the NCAA, but they will be the opposite, they are setting out to punish wrongdoings and recruiting violations at universities, not have individuals go on trial for breaking laws. My entire thread is predicated on nothing new being introduced beyond what we know from 2018. If there’s something new I’d like to see it. If not, then I’ll reiterate Dakich: they’re shooting off a toy pop-gun.

It won’t work if you show up at the Civil Trial carrying the same evidence as the Criminal Trial.

Replying to Kneeburns :

Yes it can, and often does. It is called "some evidence that was not allowed at the FBI trial for them to render a decision, the NCAA can use." Remember one small little detail, the FBI was prosecuting people who committed crimes, the school was NOT on trial. Well, flip the script, in this one, the SCHOOL (Kansas in case you did not know), is the one being investigated. So the NCAA WILL use the evidence pertaining to the university, not the shoe execs and runners. They will not be on trial, KANSAS will, so evidence damning Kansas, WILL be used. Oh, and bet your sweet *** they have stuff that is not public yet. If you do not think so (which i really think you do, but hoping not), then man you are one Dunce Kansas supporter.

After reading all of these stupid *** Kansas fan TRYING to look innocent, they act just like another idiotic fan base.

I think a Jayhawk and Cardinal have more in common than both being birds.

I mean i truly get wanting to back and defend your favorite team. But there comes a point and time when you just have to put the fanhhood aside, set back, breath real deep, and look at the whole picture.

It is like you have a kid that committed a serious crime, you keep saying "Not my son, no way he did that, he is not like that, not going to believe it."

Eventually you have to look at it from a unbiased point of view and say "OK, he is guilty. dammit why did my son do that ? Why ?"

Agreed completely, this totally reminds me of what happened to Trump in the Mueller Report.

So the NCAA will heavily imply Kansas cheated without outright saying it, and then Kansas will be brazen enough to cheat again?

I could definitely see the latter happening.

And to think how hard UK got hit because of the “ALLEGED” Chris Mills stuff! That’s mild dandruff compared to what’s been going on the past 4-5 years! Guaranteed KU won’t come remotely close to that punishment.

Like a poster once said, "you could tell a KU fan the sky was blue." Their response would be, "no, it's not!" @FrankUnderwood

Accurate!

That being said, I’m still conflicted on @Nooneputsbabyinacorner . Sometimes I think he truly is that delusional of a KU fan. Other times I’m like “no way... he’s trolling” then other times I’m like “well maybe he IS a KU fan but he likes poking the bear/ getting a rise out of people.

I am guessing a combination of all 3. I will say he’s a pretty good sport. He gets roasted and bashed mercilessly on here and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him throw vile insults back

Don’t worry too much. Self will likely get nothing more than maybe a 10 game suspension, and you won’t have to sit out more than one NCAA tournament, but you’ll still have to live In Kansas. Hey unlike your southern neighbors solar panels aren’t illegal, and you do use wind turbines.

I did an 8 month contact gig for the state of Kansas in Topeka the spring through the fall of 1990. I’d take it over Southern California any day of the week and twice on Sunday. And there are no UCLA fans. Either of our fan bases dwarf theirs.

Gotta be much more..Self texting “gotta get some real guys” can’t possibly be a violation or even an indication of a potential violation..Kansas basketball, Bill Self hit with NCAA violation

Dan is right- gotta be much more.
And I suspect there is.
