Wow, dak and zeke are trying to kill their organization
Why don't you keep Dak's name out of your mouth
Jones family maybe leaked it to gauge fan reaction on a 30 million dollar offer.
If fans say “Dak’s nuts that’s a good deal” they go and offer the 30.
If fans rip the Jones’ for offering that and not something in the 25 range they go to Dak with the 25 offer, tell him fans will dislike him at 30 but he’s a hero at 25. More for Zeke and Amari who he needs and ultimately will get him much more on the endorsement end when theyre winners not 8-8.
Cowboys are in a really bad spot with dak, zeke, and amari wanting elite money. The cowboys' offense was 22nd in scoring and total offense. WEI. Offense had the cowboys 24th. Their offense would be awful without that trio, but it wasn't that good with them
Does that include the first nine games where there was no Amari? Because they had the worst WR Corps while also juggling bad tight ends so Dak has no one to throw to.
The Eagles just gave a statistically worse, less accomplished, and injury prone QB in Wentz 32 million/year. Any offer less than that is an insult to Dak.
The eagles doing something doesn't mean the cowboys should. The pats and saints are paying brees and Brady 23 million this year. Should dak be flattered the cowboys are willing to pay him 30.4% more than the saints and pats pay 2 HOFs?
Now you're trolling with "don't pay Dak". Serious bait.
Maybe it's because of Dak, but that's one of the most interesting Twitter convo I've ever read. Get all you can get Dak.
Passing judgement on an NFL contract offer knowing nothing more than the average yearly payout is pointless. NFL contracts aren’t guaranteed. If the guaranteed money isn’t right, then it could be a horrible deal for Dak, regardless of the reported average annual salary.
Why would he NOT turn down $30 million? Wentz got $32 million per year, and he had inferior numbers (and injury history) to Dak. And, he got #1 pick money for his first few years in the league too.
Again though, not sure what the eagles paying wentz has to do with the cowboys and dak.
Because the two are comparable, and the Eagles set the market.
30 million would put him in top 5 QB salaries in the league. Not sure how much more he wants if true.
Should the cowboys pay zeke like the rams paid gurley?
Just because the eagles gave their WB bad contract doesn’t mean the cowboys automatically have to
You can't compare Dak's situation with Brady's. Brady has made $200,000,000 in his NFL career not counting endorsements and has a wife who may have made more money than he has. Dak has made $2,700,000. That said, if we wants to win Super Bowls in Dallas, he doesn't really need to be turning down $30,000,000.
I hardly think offering dak 30 million is insulting. I think that's a good deal for both parties
From a business point of view, Dak needs the Cowboys every bit as much - if not more - than the Cowboys need him.
