If he plays the rest of the season exactly as he has through 3 games then the QBr will not go up. It’s not a cumulative stat. It’s a stupid, flawed, fluky stat, but I agree, continue playing as he has and no one will give two farts what his QBr is. Anyone know Brady or Manning’s QBr? Nope, that number won’t even make it onto their HOF plaques.

No kidding. If he played every game at the same pace as the last 3 games (the last two, really), ALL of his stats (not just QBR) are going to be pretty pedestrian. If he played every game like he played the Tampa Bay game, he’d have the greatest season (QBR and all other stats) in NFL history. But neither of those are going to be the case. He’ll fall somewhere in the middle.

Oh, you mean the two highest season long QBR’s of all time…or since it started being tracked in 2006? Why yes, actually Google (and many others) know those stats.

Last I checked google wasn’t a person, but feel free to google it. Of course google knows them, google can tell you how long your small intestines are and nobody will give a ****. My point is nobody gives a **** what Brady or Manning’s QBR are. If Dak plays the next 14 games as he did the last 2 his QBr will be about 60, and again nobody will care because the Cowboys will be 13-4, 14-3. Win 13 games with the goodwill he has earned while throwing for 4,500 yards with 38 TD(35 passing, 3 rushing) then he will be the MVP unless Stafford or Josh Allen go off for 5,000 yards and 50TD’s. You’re crazy if you think Dak will start running more as the season go on. Unless going for the EZ or a crucial 1st down then you will continue to see him slide to avoid contact as he did Monday night.

I don’t know who you are arguing with and why. If Dak plays the next 14 as he did the first 3 everything else will take care of its self. The QBr is a fluky meaningless stat that agents use to have something to point to when their clients can’t point to wins. It’s the NFL version of the baseball hold or Quality start. You went 6 innings giving up 3 runs to the Orioles, whoopty, freaking do. Your ERA is 4.50.

Looking at their schedule I see no sure losses with his remaining lose-able games and % chances of winning being( @ Minn 70%, vs Denver 65%, @Chiefs 40%, vs Raiders 60%, @Was 65%, vs AZ 60%(I admit I pulled those %’s out of my arse but I think they’re accurate.) Win half of those and stay healthy and he’ll be 14-3, 13-4 and his stats will be meaningless. Especially his QBr. W’s and L’s are the only stats that matter if you want to be taken seriously. If he gets to 13 with the “pedestrian” stats he had the last 2games then no one will care what his stats are and he’ll be a better QB for it.

BTW, I’m absolutely SICK of SPS reloading out of the blue while I’m halfway through typing a post. It gets old copying my response after every sentence to make sure I don’t lose my reply. WTF 17 is up with that?

The point was that the two greats you mentioned also had the best QBR’s ever in their best ever seasons. That shows its not a meaningless stat. It’s just a stat that needs a sufficient sample size to represent the true situation. I fully expect Dak to be Top 5 in passing yards, Top 5 in completion %, Top 5 in QBR, Top 5 in TD / INT ratio, and potentially Top 5 in the MVP at season’s end. They all go hand in hand. You’ll never see a QB that is elite in all those other things but average or bad in QBR over a full season sample size. Its not possible.

I certainly agree he won’t be running nearly as much as he did earlier in his career. The recent injury plus the big contract will prevent that. But I don’t think he needs to in order to get all those above numbers where they need to be.

I also really, really agree about the board reloading mid post. That **** sucks. Happens to me all the time….more often than not when I’m posting on my phone.

Cole Beasley has been the 2nd leading receiver on his team for 3 consecutive years. So far this year he is tied with Sanders for the team lead in yards and has twice as many receptions as anyone else. Saunders is taking away opportunities from Diggs on the outside, Beasley will get his.

Sanders is taking snaps from Beasley this year. They're both playing in the slot. Beasley gets most of his snaps in four wide sets. He only was second to Diggs last year because John Brown got hurt.

You win. Beasley will be be the first 3rd option to lead his team in receptions, but I can see Sanders and Diggs ending up with more yards.

I hope the cowboys can make a trade for a game changer at receiver. That's clearly an area of weakness. Just ask Megatron.
