Ah party rape..maybe like some Navy players who messed around with a drunk girl at a party and weeks later when everyone found out what she did she called rape (players were found innocent later). Not saying that's what happened here but you cant tell from these news articles. Bailey probably acted sleazy but I would wait out the rape charge.

Rules are complicated so I could be wrong but I don't think we can. Limit is 25 in any one season. Three were thransfers assigned to this class last year (a practice I believe has been stopped by the NCAA), and we signed 22. That makes 25.

I'm sure we can pin this on Flood in some form...how about this?....

It's Flood's fault as he had pile driven the program into the ground, got fired, and his replacement had little time to fill the recruiting class. Therefore he scoured the scraps left over as best he could. Which included, but not limited to, lighty recruited, under the radar, and sub D1 players...one of which was Bailey. Thanks Kyle!

These kids will do stupid things. Apparently occurred back home when with his locals not RU teammates. Hope he gets a good defender as many of these cases can go either way. Too bad for him personally having to dig his life out of this mess and also too bad for RU as he was a very versatile player for us.

Horrible story. But Ash and co. did the right thing here and handled it properly. This came out in Dec., gathered facts and he was gone by Jan.. I believe in due process, but in the pre-judgmental court of public opinion they could not wait for a fair trial to occur.

He has been dismissed from the team AND the university - would guess that this may not be some blatant disregard for the principle of "Innocent until proven guilty" rather it may be a clear cut violation of certain requirements to promptly and completely inform the Athletic department & University of material impending legal issues. If he fully knew that he was in serious deep doo-doo for many many months - that he was genuinely under investigation ... and he tried to keep it under wraps - hoping that it would magically disappear - & he flat out intentionally chose to fail to disclose to Ash & the appropriate individuals - that he was tangled up in a pending issue like this - then the "Innocent until proven guilty" line of reasoning goes out the window with respect to Rutgers.

So have I and they were usually called family get-togethers or work holiday parties. I've also been to many many more college parties where high schoolers show up looking to hook up with college age guys. Not too many of those had 75 year olds though...
