I know, it seems like a hundred years ago sometimes, but we're still here [cheers]Yep...that corner...and IIRC the student athletes had seats in that corner as well. Damn I feel old...[cheers]

The lack of basketball knowledge being displayed by some of our fans is amazing. Vermont will be a NCAA tourney team and on a neutral court might have beaten UK today. That little guard they had was the best player on the floor.
UK/Cal probably learned more from playing Vermont once than they would have playing five no-name, directional schools.
We'll drive up and wait till tipofff. You can find a ticket for between 10-20$ to most of the games. But you won't, you'll just keep insulting other people that don't go.
Not only that but I would always cheer my team on no matter the players. Its about school spirit and cheering for your University.this makes zero sense since the students themselves are just as temporary.
Tell that to Kansas and duke student sections. Blows ours away.
I knew about Vermont last year and was a little surprised to see them when the 2018 schedule came out. Coming as closely to the Champions Classic game vs. KU as it is, I saw it as a so-called "trap game". Thought our young guys might have had their heads fixated on the Jayhawks instead of VU. And that might have been the case Sunday to a lesser extent. But, I still think having a W over them will benefit UK come Selection Sunday. Even though it was only 4 points, it will be seen as a quality win.you can spin it however you want. But I bet the average fan had to be told how good Vermont was by the announcers prior to the game to have any appreciation of what kind of competition UK was playing.
Yeah those parts are more or less the same as they always were and they are and no sweat. The part that changed is, in the early 90's when you wanted to do all that you only had to show up at the places (lottery raffle, Memorial) at the right time with your student ID and you were golden. But by 2011+ in graduate school, to do the same thing you had to find a not-well-advertised website, create a special user account for it, create or join a ticket-seeking group to proxy for your special ticket-buying account, etc., etc. It was all very cryptic and a pain in the rear. I figured it all out. But it was not easy for me, and I did graduate school on a research assistantship automating xml transcription and doing database design. I'm just saying, would not surprise me one bit to learn there were droves of history, education, biology, etc. majors out there who would be filling that Eruption Zone if they could only figure out how to sign up. Especially if they've made it even more cryptic since I left, which wouldn't surprise me.Essentially you enter the lottery, if you win, you go to memorial and wait until your number is called and you get your tickets. If you aren’t selected to the lottery, you can pick up the remaining tickets the following day.
