I've never seen a quiter student section. Every team in the sec has louder students. Really mind boggling.

Regarding the arena not being on campus...students can walk to Rupp Arena from campus...just saying. Regarding the crowd, it's early in the season and this isn't a marquee game but THIS is the time to go to a game at Rupp if you've never seen one.
I went to UK. You CAN walk to Rupp, but for most it's unrealistic. It's a hell of a walk, more than 95% of us are willing to make. The decision to make UK play downtown is for the city not the kids. No one can talk about Rupp student section as long as the arena is downtown.
That's also a student section. Our students are pathetic, same is true of them at football games. Yet, all we hear on this board is how bad the Blue Hairs are and that we should take their seats away. At least they show up and support the team.
i remember just fine. fans just want something that is easy to blame. the uk fan base just isnt what it was and isnt as good as others. its ok.
I agree with this. I think the way Cal does it, does not lend itself to people being excited early.

Like trailing Utah Valley State at half time. Nobody wants to watch that. Most UK fans are luke warm these days first half the season.
And I love it when people sitting at home on their asses on a message board criticize people for not walking to the game in the cold.
I went to UK as well. For those tickets...that walk isn't that far...

Shut up with that. I live an hour away. If I could walk to RUPP for 10 bucks you better bet your *** i wouldn't miss a game.
So you could drive there in your warm car and walk 3 blocks and go, but students are lazy for not walking a mile and a half? I'd say you lost this argument when you sat on youass on your couch to watch the game.
Easy to say that when you live an hour away. I went to UK and went to like 5 games in 4 years. I go to almost everyone now. Because it's easier now than when I was a student.
