i do agree with that. My initial response was related to another poster quoting the President and being shot down for that. So, Fauci too was saying these things, no knock on him either, but keep throwing stones isnt the path forwards.
I understand it is more gratifying to bash the opposing party leaders for everything they do wrong during a crisis. All in all there isn't a GD person in the country I would trust more or less right now. They are all in the same boat. We are all in this together lets all stop playing politics, shut the F up and lets get through this together. Can go back to blaming and hating the other side when this is all over if it makes one feel better.
I bet he wishes he knew then what he knows now. Closing all flights was important. It’s not about playing politics. Assuming we are all American citizens, he is our President. We have a right to hold him accountable for his performance. It’s my opinion that his performance in February will cost additional lives and suffering. That’s all I was saying.
To be clear, I absolutely want this pandemic to cause as little death and suffering as possible. If that benefits the President politically that is absolutely fine by me.
I bet he wishes he knew then what he knows now. Closing all flights was important.
Currently, we are hanging thin in NY, our worst and most underprepared city it seems.
Just heard a local announcement by various state leaders where the planning of extra portahospitals and beds are being readied according to population.
Its those things that will save lives, and it's local.
Kansas doctors are weeks away from going out of business and laying off medical staff.

Guess they didn't get the memo they were supposed to be overran.
I wonder how full their refrigerated morgue trucks are?
Maybe they can send their ventilators somewhere else?
Hey, can't run out of ppe if you have no patients!
He may be also putting it all together. Meaning, he knows the current supplies/avalibility of tests, the numbers promised and artiving in increasing amounts, seeing new tests coming in for help, and putting that all together, complaints or not, its on schedule, improving, and projections will ultimately hit needs, but are still somewhat early, as these things take time.He definitely has done some prescient things. The travel restrictions from China certainly helped.
IMO he needs to stop with the spin and marketing and just be a manager. But I do get that marketing is his forte.
Take testing for instance. The POTUS is currently saying there is no problem with testing. Stating that he hasn’t heard a single issue about testing for weeks. Multiple Governors are adamantly saying otherwise as our healthcare professionals that are on the front line. Gov. Hogan (a Rep. Governor) just said the idea that testing is no longer an issue is a flat out lie.
I just wish the President would stop with the spin and just shoot straight with us. Here is where we are, here is where we are tying to get to and here is what we need to get there.
the media is doing its job, driving eyeballs and making money
it's our job to take it all with a grain of salt
This exactly, we had rules in place to regulate the political nature of the media, the FCC ended the "fairness doctrine" that paved the way for the rise of CNN and Fox News. People wonder why the news has become more political, that's the first brick to fall.
Whether something is legal or not, I choose whether to do those things, and, while some prefer to do things I do not, I don't begrudge them their right to do so.It's the government's fault? Your answer is more government?
Hey, at least you're consistent.
Have you called the local government? Do so, now.My mother-in-law has hallmark symptoms of Covid19: high fever, chest pain, difficulty breathing, and extreme fatigue. She lives in an area with many confirmed cases. She can't get tested, though, because they're out of tests. WTF, I thought anyone who wanted a test was supposed to be able to get one.
They are specifically directing people NOT to contact the health department about testing (see flyer). Told to wait it out at home for 7 days, take acetaminophen, sleep upright if breathing while lying down is difficult, and to go to ER if breathing troubles worsen. People are on their own with this.Have you called the local government? Do so, now.
Maybe she should be in the hospital, regardless of whether it's COVID-19 or something else that's ailing her? How severe are her symptoms? My mother-in-law has hallmark symptoms of Covid19: high fever, chest pain, difficulty breathing, and extreme fatigue. She lives in an area with many confirmed cases. This happening in Illinois? That 800 number wont help her if she isn't You can call about this, if in Illinois, and if it's about this, that, they're paying someone to do.They are specifically directing people NOT to contact the health department about testing (see flyer). If it was up to me she would be there getting checked out because she is high risk. But her doctor's office has advised her to self isolate at home. Her oxygen levels are below optimal (based on finger oximeter) but haven't reach the emergency thresholdMaybe she should be in the hospital, regardless of whether it's COVID-19 or something else that's ailing her? Without direct cares, this is too up in the air. She should go in after she knows it's getting worse. If it was up to me she would be there getting checked out because she is high risk. yes, in Illinois. It is up to the evaluation and recommendation by healthcare provider on who gets tested. But there's no reason for her to go in because there's no available testing in the area anyway. It's ride it out at home until it becomes an emergency. My father-in-law is there, but he's surely next. My sister-in-law is nearby if something becomes more dire. good grief **** is a mess.Without direct cares, this is too up in the air. They can't stop her, she will come in with them unprepared.
Is someone there checking on her?
Be ready by the phone,if so.
This can happen very fast, a quick downwards spiral. She needs someone there to watch her, someone to call 911 if necessary.yes, in Illinois. Ok, so clarification based on updated info to me. They’re not out of tests, they have limited capacity to process them. She does not meet criteria for testing as they are being very selective due to limited processing capacity. My mother-in-law has hallmark symptoms of Covid19: high fever, chest pain, difficulty breathing, and extreme fatigue. Yea, every person wants one, some may 'create' symptoms, others, they have other ailments, while not much better, a test wouldnt help them either.Ok, so clarification based on updated info to me. Kinda comes with the territory. Even the mildest dog gets angry when kicked long enough. Maybe once the lame stream media starts being fair, honest, unbiased......He definitely has done some prescient things. The travel restrictions from China certainly helped.

It would seem logical to me that they could test for influenza, strep or other possibilities. If one of those come up positive they could continue with applicable treatment and care. If they are negative, it is probably C19, in which case they could test for that or play the waiting game.Ok, so clarification based on updated info to me. Just like theyre seperating common cares from wuhan, this can compromise both.It would seem logical to me that they could test for influenza, strep or other possibilities. Not to mention their mayor and head of their health department told everyone just a couple weeks ago to go out and carry on their lives like normal. No surprise, high density population, exponential infections due to poor habits.
If those tests meet the tough criteria used til certain levels of ailments are reached, its a certaintee.

The center is obviously not holding, when the academy is accusing the media of lies.
Wish that crap would stop
Moving from lies to conspiacies, yet neither see it.
He’s trying? So we’re giving out participation trophies now. We deserve results and his inaction early on has cost a substantial amount of additional suffering and loss of life.
For instance on February 26th we had the first day with more infections outside of China than inside. And yet on that same day, Trump said, “"Because of all we've done, the risk to the American people remains very low. … When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero. That's a pretty good job we've done."
