The current one is blamed because he was told clearly in January that this had pandemic possibilities. Nobody expects the US to have 1 million ventilators but they do expect the fed to protect the nation in the case of a pandemic, especially when it comes to a supplies that are to be used by the nation as a whole. It is obvious he didn't have a clue, he recognized that the steps that China took were crazy and weren't going to happen here...he doesn't have a science background and generally is SLOW to listen. I would have actually had a stroke had he done this thing in a sensible way because he doesn't do things in a sensible manner, this can work sometimes and other times it leaders to thousands of preventable deaths. We are about 3 weeks from seeing if his negligence caused thousands of deaths or if the virus is weaker than we suppose...remember he knows he can shoot someone in times square and still have followers...so he won't lose believers no matter what...
If it is doubling every 3 days we hit 1 million cases in two weeks...yikes.
She won the states hardest hit with this didn't she? Cannot imagine how happy those people must be right now that this woman is using their misery to make it all about her...and reason #529 why when I'm called a deplorable, I just smile, proudly. Damn straight I am.
I'm talking about us not testing asymptomatic people because most western nations won't test unless you have symptoms...there are people carrying it who will never be tested because they will never show the right symptoms...or will have an 8 hour fever and never get around to it. People are hoping for this hidden millions that have already had it...70% of the people who get it show symptoms...15% of these need hospitalization...millions of cases suddenly becomes hundreds of thousands of severe and we just aren't seeing it YET. SK has tested really well, as did the Diamond cruise ship, and they found a range around 30% test positive but did not show symptoms...this might seem great but that is actually only small bump, what people are looking for are orders of magnitude asymptomatic people, and that just isn't happening.

Trump has handled this thing terribly, in every way imaginable. The mental gymnastics Trump supporters are going through right now are really something to behold. It's like you like him more than the country or any actual ideals. Heck, I voted for the guy in 2016 , HUGE MISTAKE. I thought Hillary was just part of the machine and didn't actually believe in anything and would just say and do whatever for power. I thought, why not can't be worse, maybe his business first attitude will make the economy take off, etc. But guess what, I was wrong, I’m not going to dig my heals in and pretend like he is doing well. He has been a disaster. Why keep finding ways to justify all his BS? Just call a spade a spade.
I will be voting for him again. The dems are an embarrassment to the core. One would think they would get the act together after the last election. Democratic party is almost worse now then when Hillary was the candidate.

Obviously I watched the woman at the end. I literally quoted McCain's response to her. Also, you're implying that most in that crowd thought the same as her. It seems pretty clear they didn't from the clapping (and no boos/hollering) after his response to her.
No way is it worse. 1 lady doesn't speak for the entire crowd and it squashes your comment that Republicans boo'd when McCain said Obama was a good guy when none of that happened. Maybe Repubs aren't as bad as you think they are?

The Democratic part is an absolute mess and has been for a very long time (Obama was able to win elections despite the Democratic machine, not because of it). However, I will be voting for whoever they trot out there, as I have come to the conclusion the reality TV star simply is not equipped to run the free world., but I’m not going to be happy about it.
Which is fine for a 6 year old. I was in 8 different countries last summer and the same question I got from every place was what were guys thinking voting that guy in to office? Just said well he didn't win the popular vote by millions but the old antiquated electoral college is still in play so here is where we are. I'm sorry but lost Americans are great people he certainly doesn't represent most of us.

I have had a couple coworkers go thru a bad sick streak. I never call out, yet last week I got my *** kicked by a bug.
In all my life I have NEVER had a bug make me puke 2 days in a row day and and night. I was exhausted. All I could do was sleep. No appetite. Forcing water made it come right back up.
Saw Bryan Urgent Care. Got on anti nausea/vomit meds. Chugged Gatorade for a week. Introduced food as soup and crackers after 3 days.

absolutely true, but we don't know when we will hit the apex of the first wave. It could happen earlier and start to come down, or come later and then rebound later on.
to me, this is all just an attempt to minimize the number of people needing ventilators at the same time, which we likely don't have enough for, and sounds like people sharing a vent is going to come with some of its own risks and seems a bit dodgy.
