One negative... I was a bit taken aback by some of Boldens shot selection.
I was actually encouraged by it. Even though his jumpers didn’t drop yesterday, the fact that he took multiple of them without getting chewed out by the coaches shows that he’s been hitting it somewhat consistently in practice IMO.

Same. He was pretty far out there a couple of times and if we're to assume that the scrimmage was fairly indicative of how/where guys are going to play, I'm not sure we need much of that from him. I did like that there seems to be a lot of high/low action coming our way this season.

This could be a fairly unique Duke team in that regard and, while I don't mind the apparent leeway our guys get on taking threes, it should be welcome to see a team who might achieve a bit more inside/out balance.

I’m pretty positive Bolden stepping out taking threes isn’t a part of the game plan. It’s a glorified team scrimmage/practice. If he wants to practice that under the lights, under a little bit of game pressure, I’m fine with that. No harm no foul.

I’m sure Tre throwing self alleys with 2 minutes left in a tight game isn’t a part of the plan either. I love to see that gumption though.

Those are the kind of shots we'll be taking when we're up 82-50.

The confidence and assertiveness of Goldwire and O'Connel really impressed me. Both made nice plays within the flow of the game against legitimate competition. Not against walk-ons or during All Star style no defense garbage time.

I don't think they came to Duke so they could tell their grandchildren that I played for Coach K at Duke. OFC

I was surprisingly pleased with the play of O'Connell and Goldwire.
Gary, Trevon, Wendell, and Marvin were damn impressive! I didn't get much of a gauge on Tucker. I thought Bolden and Javin showed a lot of confidence compared to last year during CTC. Antonio and Jack looked about the same to me. This is Grayson's team and he's going to shut up the haters! I think Grayson will end up as my favorite Duke player of all time. When this team gels, the sky is the limit! I got a feeling it's going to be one heck of a ride this year. Dang, I sound a little like Guru Gary.
