How about a Rutgers Saturday game. I believe that the only 2 were Michigan 76 and UCLA 81. Not sure anyone wants to see Georgetown-Providence.
Agree, although I'm not sure a cbb nerd wants any part of Georgetown Providence this year, but probably not the case if RU were still in the top 25The college basketball nerds outside of us would tune in more for the GT Providence matchup unfortunately.
The RU @ UCLA game, which @Groz got thrown out of, was on NBC in 1979. Enberg, McGuire, and Packer were in the TV booth.Actually 76 and 81 were most likely NBC.

Down 16 Seton and their resume is not good.
After a 28 inch able study bollixed ticket distribution to students. Got the first student tickets to that gave in the Rutgers and Douglas campuses.Rutgers-Syracuse in 1978 with the Louie and Bouie show was on NBC with Marv Albert calling the game. Syracuse was ranked 10th in the country and we beat them.

In the 2014-15 season, they finished at #22/#24 in the two main polls. When was the last time Gtown was a top 25 type program
Also played them on CBS at the RAC in 1982 and won.Played West Virginia at the RAC in jan 1983 on cbs and lost....

The '82 game, when WVU was No. 6, was not televised. The Greg Jones-led Eers in '83 was on CBS. Gary Bender did play-by-play.Also played them on CBS at the RAC in 1982 and won.
I know, Mark. I was waiting for you to correct me.Did not get thrown out! Only got a technical.........
Best of Luck,

Yeah it's weird that a loss to a much better Villanova would cause this sort of re-appraisal... early in the season they weren't terrible but weren't building their resume. Now they've proven themselves to be worse than Nova and Creighton but better than most of the BE. That doesn't clear up their situation at all. UConn games will be huge.Down 16 Seton and their resume is not good.

Perception matters in sports even with Georgetown being a mediocre basketball program as compared to the glory days with John Thompson as head coach.along with tremendous talent. The college basketball nerds outside of us would tune in more for the GT Providence matchup unfortunately.
