How about a Rutgers Saturday game. I believe that the only 2 were Michigan 76 and UCLA 81. Not sure anyone wants to see Georgetown-Providence.

Rutgers-Syracuse in 1978 with the Louie and Bouie show was on NBC with Marv Albert calling the game. Syracuse was ranked 10th in the country and we beat them.

The college basketball nerds outside of us would tune in more for the GT Providence matchup unfortunately.
Agree, although I'm not sure a cbb nerd wants any part of Georgetown Providence this year, but probably not the case if RU were still in the top 25
The RU @ UCLA game, which @Groz got thrown out of, was on NBC in 1979. Enberg, McGuire, and Packer were in the TV booth.
After a 28 inch able study bollixed ticket distribution to students. Got the first student tickets to that gave in the Rutgers and Douglas campuses.
The '82 game, when WVU was No. 6, was not televised. The Greg Jones-led Eers in '83 was on CBS. Gary Bender did play-by-play.
Yeah it's weird that a loss to a much better Villanova would cause this sort of re-appraisal... early in the season they weren't terrible but weren't building their resume. Now they've proven themselves to be worse than Nova and Creighton but better than most of the BE. That doesn't clear up their situation at all. UConn games will be huge.
That was an awesome game. The fruit brought their little pep band which was placed up near the rafters. Every time they played their cute little fight song, our crowd, on key, chanted "Syracuse Sucks"
