Georgia Tech being annihilated by Tennessee. Weber State hung 21 on Colorado. I’m not sure those victories say much yet. At least Chip has some good tape to plan his offense.Beat. Ga Tech and hang 52 on Weber St. Will we be home dogs by a.
TD or more?
This gives me more Hope! That Ga Tech Colorado Game was a rough watch. Two teams that looked like they were trying to lose. Mendoza was terribad, but the Colorado QB couldn't make high school level throws...
It appears that GB will be attending the game on Saturday since he is the color commentator for the Colorado radio broadcast. This would be a great opportunity for both school programs to come together and recognize GB’s contributions and do something special pre-game or at halftime to honor him. Will GB be there? Seems like he should be if physically able given his past connections to both programs. Also would be interesting to hear his perspective on the recent challenges to coaching/recruiting/NIL.
After the way we "honored" the 1995 team last season, if I'm GB I'd politely decline any pre-game recognitionIt appears that GB will be attending the game on Saturday since he is the color commentator for the Colorado radio broadcast. Colorado exit was rough for him. So probably not. After the way we "honored" the 1995 team last season, if I'm GB I'd politely decline any pre-game recognition
This looks like a great event -Last/best chance to do something special for GB as he has turned 80. I still believe NU should do *something* even if it is just to acknowledge that GB is there. His years at NU are so intertwined with NU football history it would be a shame for NU not to make the attempt.
I believe that they will be a bowl team at end of season. Maybe 8-5 in total or betterIt would appear they are not, in fact, the real deal. Weren't ready for Prime Time last night.
That would be great if correct. If NU can put a big beat down on a bowl caliber team, they can beat anyone on a given day.I believe that they will be a bowl team at end of season. Maybe 8-5 in total or better
I would remind that "bowl caliber" these days is pretty much the top 70 teams or anyone with at least a .500 record. Ain't the same as the top 20. We're not beating OSU, Georgia or a bunch of others. Colorado looked gassed by mid third quarter. That would be great if correct. If NU can put a big beat down on a bowl caliber team, they can beat anyone on a given day.

TT, Utah, and Ok State are probably nos, but there are some dreadful teams in the rest of that group they can beat a bunch ofNot a chance!
Baylor
Texas Tech
Utah
Oklahoma State
Kansas State

Houston

I looked it up on Sagarin, and I underrate the Big 12. They don’t have any elite teams - TT is the highest ranked at 17 - but Colorado is rated worst in the conference at 69. So they could indeed have the bottom drop out again. If they manage to beat Baylor…they’re facing a three game losing streak. Could see Sanders losing the team and things spiraling from there. Houston is a top 25 team. I don’t see a path to a bowl game.
There's a good chance Colorado is the weakest team on our schedule this year.Watching some of the highlights this game was almost too easy. I think they didn’t have a good defensive gameplan coming in, maybe for lack of tape, and when it wasn’t working it looked like the players dogged it the rest of the game.
Although Colorado is a P4 team with physical and athletic talent, I don’t think it will be remotely this easy even against the lesser B1G competition.
Ball State would be to differ....There's a good chance Colorado is the weakest team on our schedule this year.
I do have to wonder how Colorado’s DC couldn’t think to alert his outside LBs and safety about Himon coming out of the backfield. In addition to the 3 wide open TDs Chiles barely overthrew him on what would have been a fourth.Watching some of the highlights this game was almost too easy. They are way way way way way way way way way way way way way better than Ball State. Like way way way way way better. Also probably Rutgers. There's a good chance Colorado is the weakest team on our schedule this year.
Rutgers kept USC within a TD the entire game. I don’t think Colorado would do that. They are way way way way way way way way way way way way way better than Ball State. Like way way way way way better. Also probably Rutgers.
It's not impossible that's it though.
Rutgers also got thei **** kicked out of them by UMass and lost to BC. Rutgers is dreadful.Rutgers kept USC within a TD the entire game. I don’t think Colorado would do that.
I thought BSU looked like they had a pulse v OSU, but that Liberty loss, whewThey are way way way way way way way way way way way way way better than Ball State. Like way way way way way better. Also probably Rutgers.
