He made a lot of bad decisions, and missed a lot of throws. Not a good sign. Something was really off with him. Let’s hope they get it figured out.

Yeah he had a bad game. But he’s played well doing those same things. Have to believe today was an anomaly. Nothing to fix. Just brush it off and get to work

It is also equally dumb to base our expectations on words coming out of fall camp. Nobody knows how good we are but we do know that we only have one reliable WR, the others have been hurt and are inexperienced and out of shape. We also only had one reliable back who has only been here a few weeks. AM is also the same age as a RSH Freshman, meaning he isn't really old enough to carry this offense at this point...he needs help, and didn't even have an experienced center who could snap him the ball. So nobody to throw it to...nobody who could snap it, nobody who could run it...it will get better but it wasn't "just a bad day".
No so much of what you said is just plain wrong. Expectations are based on proven returning talent. Adrian has talent. That’s not up for debate. Mo and JD have talent. Mills has talent. All proven in games in previous years. It’s reasonable to expect they are at least as good as previously shown. Adrian has shown he’s a good qb that can lead an offense. Age doesn’t matter. And Farniok has snapped the ball just fine. Jurgens has no issues in practice. It was his first game. Snaps won’t be a season long issue. To believe that is absurd. The only real question mark is the offensive line.
I agree, but I just didn't like seeing our interior line literally getting outmuscled by their DLine. That is concerning. I'm not saying I'm flipping out, but it isn't a good look.

It’ll be interesting to see how much of that is play calling. If frost opens up the playbook, Mo is in the whole game, Adrian is doing Adrian things...the defense will have to loosen up. Maybe our oline was struggling to move a defense that knew what was coming and was trying to take away the middle.
I’m not saying that’s definitely the case. But it could be. If we had attacked down field and the edges more, that makes it easier to go straight ahead.

Offenses need 15-20 guys to play well...you listed FOUR. The outcome was predictable and how can someone trust players who say the offense was awesome in fall camp. What could they possibly do in fall camp that would replicate a game situation? Scrimmage...what they had 2...Adrian ran less than 5 series in scrimmages all fall. Nearly all of their main contributors were hurt and were sitting out chunks of fall camp. Frost said the offense was out of shape and this points to a lack of conditioning and reps...I bet that will change. The game went like it should have...the defense was solid, the offense a work in progress, and fan expectations retarduclous.
Hi all. I think we all expected more offensively today based on expectations. I think we will get it together. Lots of positives. Washington did look good when he got to touch the ball. Robinson is going to be a stud and we had some better play out of the defense. Opportunistic. Not a perfect start. But it’s a win. Didn’t start last year with one, we are 1-0, winners of 5 out of our last 7. Get better each week in each part of the game. Lots of work to do before Colorado game. Have faith all.
Not really, screens and Yolo bombs on O. CSU was moving at will against them. CSU is a really bad team, they turned the ball over and their lack of depth showed late in the game.
My optimism has been tempered after today but I'm still not worried about going into Boulder. The players want this one bad.
I think you're on to something here. I've seen several worthy of devotion and worship. Sunday service could be epic if planned right.
Hope you are wrong about how long it will take but I really think people underestimated the importance of the Seniors last year. Ozigbo, Gifford, Farmer, Foster, and Morgan are not easily replaceable players.
The thing is on a 9-3 team like many people expected this year, all those players should be easily replaceable. What did that group of players do other than going 4-8 twice as upperclassmen.
AMart will be fine. Jurgens will be fine. We have lots of weapons.
Cannot believe the football ignorance of some people. Have we not learned over the past twenty years or so that some of these “lesser conference”, directional school, teams have decent athletes and that EVERY year we have this SAME conversation?: “Can you believe Iowa lost to Northern Iowa? Lol” or “Did you see Wisconsin barely beat SDSU? Ha!”.
Power 5 schools OFTEN struggle in early season games against these kinds of teams only to come back and have really good seasons.
We all need to calm down. We are 1-0. Colorado is going to get our renewed focus.

I think people are taking the bad snaps a bit too lightly. For a qb to have to worry about that presnap all the way past the snap, is taking a lot of his play recognition away.
I think the biggest thing to come out of the win is that some us (myself included) need to pump the brakes on our expectations. I was thinking that 10 wins was very possible. Now......not nearly that optimistic. IMO we need to look more at the 8 that some former players were hoping for.
If Frost had said “yeah we knew he had issues with the snaps all fall”, then sure it’s a concern. But frost said he’s been good in practice. It’s not a super difficult skill to get. It won’t be an issue all year. I won’t be surprised if it’s not an issue at all going forward.
I’d be very surprised if Colorado was favored. They struggled against a BAD CSU Ram team. It was 31-38 with 12:00 minutes to play in the 4th Quarter. Colorado just go two late scores to make it look better for them. But CSUs QB C Hill going for 31-47 for 375 yards and 3 TDs and allowing 6 different WRs in the game to average over 10 yards per catch...that’s not good at all...Colorado’s defense didn’t play good at all. Yes our offense had an off game but our defense played lights out. The one area we don’t have to worry about...is OFFENSE. Adrain Martinez and our offense will play better in the Colorado game...believe that. There has been plenty of stuff said and done by Colorado players, coaches and AD over the offseason to fire the team up...the offense WILL show up in week 2.
Exactly...Frost said the offense didn’t look anything like what he’s seen all camp long. He also said he knows what he has in Martinez and isn’t worried one bit. He had an off game and he will be fine. It happens to everyone. The way some of our fans are acting...you’d assume they’d never watched a season of college football in their life’s. Teams have off games...period.
Yeah I don't think we have to worry about Martinez. Just gotta make sure the OL doesn't get him killed

Yeah but I also have watched many games week 1 for many years. And I’ve watched these same Nebraska players play much better than they did yesterday. And it all tells me that there is no reason to panic yet.
