Correct, we don't have a Ryan Hart. We have an injured Noah Vedral who could not play until Friday, and even then, he could not really play more than a few downs or to full ability.
As far as my "hope" for Simon, I actually hope he stays,and my point was that one of our bigger problems is pass protection and play calling that are not setting up our QBs to succeed. I rewatched Simon's INTs, and one of them seemed to be a miscommunication between Simon and Jones. The other was when he was getting yanked in and out of an offensive series.
But, he made the throws, and he owns them. On the down side, he does tend to stare down his target too much. On the one where he and Jones were not on the same page, he did look off to the other side of the field, but he threw to Jones' incorrect side, who was breaking to the sideline, while Simon threw towards the middle. Maybe he was trying to send a signal to the coaches that there's nothing wrong with passing toward the middle of the field?
