I agree, I think if Hurley wins tonight you give him $9 million per year. It’s been reported he wants to prove he can do it at Kentucky.

Hurley, Oats, or Donovan. Anything outside of those three would be a mediocre hire.
I wonder if that means Oats has already said he's not interested, or if it means UK is not interested?

Disagree on the pope/drew debate. Drew has actually won something and gets good players, Drew isn’t my first choice but he wouldn’t be terrible
That’s my position right now. We could still get some good coaches outside them but they have to be keyed on.

They were about to pay a $33 million dollar buyout, I’m sure they can swing $17 million
Stevens isn’t going anywhere and Wright won’t come back and deal with transfers and NIL. That’s why I didn’t even include them.

We could do a lot worse for an on-court coach. The baggage from LSU is obviously the issue with him. What he got caught doing there is basically legal now, so your mileage may vary how big of a deal you think it is. Personally, I’d feel a little bit icky about it because of the attitude he had during that whole saga. Someone who cheats with that much bravado would likely do it again even if the specifics would be different this time.
I think Billy the kid would be the way to go he is like a younger Pitino
