This is a troll right? Although I wouldn’t be surprised if true lol

Fake account.

[LXWildcat]

I hope to god it’s true because it’s exactly what should happen IMO.

I agree, I think if Hurley wins tonight you give him $9 million per year. It’s been reported he wants to prove he can do it at Kentucky.

Looks like the top 2 names on my list is it accurate though

I’m looking at it now as though it’s either Billy donavon or Scott drew, I really wanted oats

[Broker]

Speaking of Maggard. Still a prophet as always

You are so right. Cal is NOT gone yet and may still be our coach next year.

I really don’t want Drew I’d rather have Pope than Drew if it comes down to that. I hope Donovan says yes then if this is what it is….

[GuyFromKY]

Hurley, Oats, or Donovan. Anything outside of those three would be a mediocre hire.

[mdupchurch]

Being said by Trilly he has heard Nate Oats will not be involved. Said Mark Pope and Travis Ford are candidates.

If Mitch hires Mark Pope or Travis Ford, can we all agree to start a riot? I’ll never watch a Kentucky game again.

I wonder if that means Oats has already said he's not interested, or if it means UK is not interested?

Also, you don't get fired at SLU and then get considered for the UK job. I don't believe Ford for a second
Pope I can believe since he's had success, but I still don't think he's a serious contender. But this could help him land a lucrative extension there at BYU

[DaDirtyLeb69]

Disagree on the pope/drew debate. Drew has actually won something and gets good players, Drew isn’t my first choice but he wouldn’t be terrible

[*Fox2Monk*]

Hurley, Oats, or Donovan. Anything outside of those three would be a mediocre hire.

That’s my position right now. We could still get some good coaches outside them but they have to be keyed on.

[MachineHead]

Yes he is. He can’t come back here after this.

[MachineHead]

Jay Wright. But that’s a pipe dream.

[CarolinaCatsFan]

Trilly Donovan has literally said that nowhere. Stop making **** up.

[St.PatterSoN-54-]

Hurley or Oats would both be HOME RUN hires.

Drew would be a 1B hire. Also Jay Wright because he doesn't have the most tread left on the tires (but as a coach there is none better).

[Broker]

Yes he is. He can’t come back here after this.

I'm afraid he will come back to piss us off. May be a way to get fired and collect the $33Million. Would not put anything past Cal.

[JerseyCat84_rivals57050]

Drew is as vanilla as Mitch. I can see it happening, but I pray it doesn't.

[RoyKent]

Well for those who don’t know Trilly donavon is Matt norlander

I saw this same thing a week or two ago

[RoyKent]

if we end up with pope or ford then I say we offer 12 mil to get cal back.

Haha. This may be the best post of the day

[RoyKent]

[CarolinaCatsFan]

Goodman WANTS us to hire Drew so bad LOL

[OldSmoky]

SCRATCH JAY WRIGHT, AND DONAVON OFF THE LIST PERIOD. both have been out of the college game too long now. no connections with recruiting and the nil. Now realistic names are in no order DAN HURLEY, TOMMY LLOYD, NATE OATS, CHRIS BEARD, BRUCE PEARL SCOTT DREW. HATE ANY OR ALL, BUT THOSE WILL BE THE REAL PLAYERS IN THIS SEARCH. PS DONT COUNT OUT RICK PITINO

[dc513]

Mitch cannot be stupid enough to not try and get oats

17mil buyout?

[LXWildcat]

17mil buyout?

They were about to pay a $33 million dollar buyout, I’m sure they can swing $17 million

[Panthur]

Hurley, Oats, or Donovan. Anything outside of those three would be a mediocre hire.

Wright and Stevens would both be better than Oats.

[GuyFromKY]

Wright and Stevens would both be better than Oats.

Stevens isn’t going anywhere and Wright won’t come back and deal with transfers and NIL. That’s why I didn’t even include them.

[tmuck]

Phuck! Have a feeling we're gonna whiff on about 3 or 4 guys.

Will Wade is interested in the job. How would you feel about him?

No. Hell no.

[mdlUK.1]

Waiting on Donavon would put us way behind in recruiting/ portal. And does he have any recruiting contacts anymore?

I’d rather give Golden a shot over Drew.

We could do a lot worse for an on-court coach. The baggage from LSU is obviously the issue with him. What he got caught doing there is basically legal now, so your mileage may vary how big of a deal you think it is. Personally, I’d feel a little bit icky about it because of the attitude he had during that whole saga. Someone who cheats with that much bravado would likely do it again even if the specifics would be different this time.

[Randy Bob]

I think Billy the kid would be the way to go he is like a younger Pitino

He will end up winning a nc somewhere. You can just see his tenacity. That is what it takes.
