I need someone to explain to me Coach Pike’s offensive system/philosophy. It appears to consist of a very raw one-dimensional center in the middle standing in the paint surrounded by 4 players who for the most part stay stationary in quadrants around him passing the ball back and forth along a perimeter until the clock runs down and a contested three is hoisted. Alternatively, a player will isolate and try to beat their man usually after too much dribbling while everyone else stares watching. To me it is a “system” as creative and fluid as a boulder. Without Myles and JY around anymore to help create a lock down defense, the offense must be more productive than last year for us to have a winning formula, and unfortunately, its worse.
