So are you saying Coach K is a better coach than Coach Cal because Cal let us get down by 34 to Duke? You're logic can be used for any team that gets down. My point was in regards to in game adjustments, if you can't see that then well I'm sorry.
It seemed to work for Duke Saturday. I agree a total zone team is easy to pick apart, but throwing multiple defense to change the flow of your opponents game is useful, and if Cal has used a zone against Wisky for a little bit, we win #9.

this thread.... lol. you don't get to coach Kentucky by not being able to coach. people who bash Cals coaching are so jaded. they watch one Duke game, a coach makes an obvious in game change, and all of a sudden K is the greatest and Cal sucks. get your head out of your asses and pay more attention during UK games.

The point of my posts were K isn't perfect, Cal isn't perfect. Cal also has never been upset by a mid major in the tournament, has he? Has he lost a 2/15 game?
I can't speak for the others but no where in my OP did I say coach cal sucked. Every coach can improve even if you don't think cal has any flaws he does. Defensive adjustments being one of them. I was just pointing that out. It wasn't a bash on Cal. Get your panties out of a wad.
K made an easy in game adjustment and youre acting like he did something crazy creative to save Duke that game. What in game adjustments would you like Cal to make? Very curious.
When was the last time Cal made a defensive adjustment like that, that changed the game that drastically? This is Cal's weakness as a coach. That's not saying he's a bad coach, just something he needs to improve on. But take it whatever way you want.
Any damn thing, he never changes a damn thing. All good coaches will do in game changes to throw off the other teams run,except Cal. Switching man all the time, every time, why you think other teams get so many straight line drives?

K switched to a press to speed up the game and create chaos when down 20+? What a genius. Howd they get down 20? What changes did K make before that? If hes so good why didnt he prevent that lead? Whens the last time we’ve needed a crazy in game adjustment? Most coaches dont change tons of strategy in game unless something drastic happens. Maybe theyll change defense a few times in game to throw off the teams for a possession or 2... but dont act like what K did was genius, its what any coach down huge would do if they had half a brain. I bet we tried when we played Duke. Its not our fault that Duke didnt melt vs UK like UL did when they played Duke

Cal can't or won't when really needed => we need the extra margin to hang banners....
The press killed UofL, not the zone. Trapping, pressing ,combined with UofL panicking ended that thing real quick.
It's not so much a matter of if we care what he thinks. It is that we all think the same thing when it comes to you.

It was a bash regardless of your claim otherwise. You are arrogant enough to believe your defensive philosophy is superior to Cal's. There are an immensely greater number of coaches who play multiple defenses and switch up with regularity whose careers are downright pathetic when compared to Cal than the small handful that are on level or superior in comparison. Pretending to know for certainty we win the Wisconsin game if we go zone is ridiculous. In addition Cal has explained numerous times he would be more open to some zone but getting new players up to speed every year stresses teaching time so thin that there is little time to teach a new defense.
