Throw in this new era of parents and things get wild. Parents can tear your program apart from the inside. They also hurt their kids in the process. This current crop of parents as a whole are addicted to the social media glory and pats on the back. Most not all. Many parents feed into the bs. Some of these coaches recruiting kids know that and feed them what they want to hear. Some of the things I see posted on that FB page should be downright embarrassing to any adults with a shred of dignity.

It is mostly the high school football talk page but even on some of the parents individual post they cannot even brag about one game. Burns Middle beat Shelby Middle last week 32-0 and all the vultures come out talking about transfer here. If that team is winning, let them win in the future. The middle school team that lost one game in 2 years is spread out right now between 8th and 10th grade. The JV does not have a true QB right now so it looks like they are struggling but you put Bralley as well as a few others on JV and it would change real quick. He needs to be where he is though. They are all over #3 Ussery for Burns right now as well.

Yeah no1 daddy gets me always crying. But if he drops 3 passes says nothing or its not his fault...

As for Qb. I was standing right in front of him on sideline he looked at student sec said FK u and put finger up...
He got penalty, and I watched Barnes chew him out....
He does act crazy sometimes but its a heat of moment thing.
Take penalty and go back to playing...
Again one heck of a game, Crest D good as advertised, Barnes told Wilbanks Shelbys D maybe one of best hes faced as far as front 7..

What he did steps outside the heat of the moment. Almost premeditated. If he didn’t do it then, he would have done it later.

What if he gave the finger to a referee?
Chew him out and put him back in?

We are not suggesting a harsher reaction to hurt Crest in that particular game vs Shelby. That is not the point.

And any fans that think it was cool and makes him a bad ***, can stay in their ignorant status of life.

If football is to teach values to these young men, then make it so.
To dismiss his actions, in this case, as just heat of the moment, just encourages him and others to do it again.

Man, I have read this chat for years and your ignorance has finally made me create a profile.

The constant old man out of touch moaning and groaning has crossed the line from tiresome to hypocritical. Somehow in that empty head of yours you have decided that flipping the bird to people not on the field is worse than attempting to injure someone on the field while you are on the sideline.

If the punishment by your standards for flipping the bird to the crowd should have been to pull the kid from the game, then I figure #4 shouldn't have got to play another snap for the mighty lions the whole season last year... but no, that's not how it works for the highly ethical Lions, especially if you're a Holyfield. Get the log out of your eye first next time.

1st to cry when Shelby loses
