Cursory look, Clemson is 36 on KenPom.
24-10 overall, 12-6 in the ACC.
More to come.

Yeah just saw that, huge blow for Clemson and their leading shot blocker too so that takes another big out of the paint for them. Averaged over 20 mpg.Carter Welling is tore his ACL a few games ago. Leading rebounder, 6'11 and he's their second leading scorer so pretty big for Iowa.
F 'em... We are in the Big Dance and that's all we should care about! My take is that all I'm seeing nationally/from outsiders' perspectives is how either uninterested they are in this matchup or how soured they are on Iowa, if they even liked Iowa to begin with (i.e. non-Iowa fans/media members).
A lot more negativity and indifference being hurled towards Iowa as we go through the field of 68, than positivity from what Im seeing is the point I'm trying to make.
Kind of unfortunate........but not unsurprising that these are the attitudes of most fans/media types.
Thanks. That is what I was wondering. Tempo. Hard to tell by just watching highlights. Scoring balanced. Need more than 1 or 2 players to score in double figures.Play a lot of guys. Pretty balanced offensively, but rely on defense. Big front line, but best front line player lost for the year during ACC tourney. Similar tempo to us. Has 52-50 written all over this game.

For Iowa I’m more concerned with then opponents height.
much like the women, they can play with anyone their size.
They'll cheer for whichever team they think is the easier matchup.....Home game for Florida. Will the Gator fans cheer for Clemson or Iowa?![]()
Well we're 3-7 in our last 10 games, which doesn't exactly strike fear in the heart of the opposition or say watch out for Iowa. However, we're 4-1 in neutral site games. But the men's bracket is starting to look like the women's bracket when I look at them. I just don't see many upsets on the horizon or even many games where I feel the underdog has a chance. Now the Big Ten is better than the ACC this year and this is certainly a winnable game, and just getting 1 win in the tournament at the moment is a step forward for the program. My take is that all I'm seeing nationally/from outsiders' perspectives is how either uninterested they are in this matchup or how soured they are on Iowa, if they even liked Iowa to begin with (i.e. non-Iowa fans/media members).

Baby step progression is our “playing with house money?”Got to 20 wins. Made the Dance with some room to spare.
Playing with house money now IMO
Iowa, I would think.Home game for Florida. Will the Gator fans cheer for Clemson or Iowa?![]()
I don't have one.Baby step progression is our “playing with house money?”
Alright I’ll play that game. What’s the expectation next year then?
Glad to be in the tourney, yes.I don't have one.
I don't think it was baby steps. 21 wins is pretty good for year 1. Glad to back in the tourney. I think the Hawks made a solid impression in the minds of the media and coaches - and hopefully the recruits - that this a tough team to play.
I just mean if the Hawks don't beat Clemson it's not going to change my mind that there was progress this year.
Saw that we are a slight favorite according to this article. I was a bit surprised that we are favored, but 8/9 should be a toss-up (in theory). My take is that all I'm seeing nationally/from outsiders' perspectives is how either uninterested they are in this matchup or how soured they are on Iowa, if they even liked Iowa to begin with (i.e. non-Iowa fans/media members).

Yeah, I think the Hawks have the right coach. When they lost games they were almost always a tough out. I think the program is respected.Glad to be in the tourney, yes.
I do understand it was only year 1 for Ben but now that he's gotten his feet wet and should know a bit more about what kind of roster he needs to put together, making the tourney has to be the bare minimum expectation. Expectations should continue to rise year after year.
I am very confident Iowa hired the right coach.Yeah, I think the Hawks have the right coach. When they lost games they were almost always a tough out. I think the program is respected.
But the teams that finished ahead of the Hawks in the B1G aren't going anywhere. So, as you say, the roster is going to have to get better - a lot better.
Hope it does.
