Kind of sickening that CUSE can put up this many points against Clemson and we can't put up 15 against EMU.
Amazing what happens when your OL occasionally blocks people and your QB throws accurately to WRs who actually know how to run routes and get open.

Clemson puts the 2nd string QB in and they score 10 quick points. Some nice sideline passes too. Can't believe we aren't able to create some space on short routes to make a completion look easy. Not buying the fact that our guys don't understand the offensive system or don't position themselves correctly.
It's like the imperfect storm of football.

My thoughts, generally, are that although Clemson is good, they're most certainly NOT the #2 team in the nation. They would get destroyed by Ohio State. And Penn State. And Washington. And Washington state. And a few others in the top 10 .. or top 25. However, for Syracuse - a three and three team - playing them this well shows that they can play well, and that they've got Clemson's number. But, if this is the ACC's best then the ACC isn't great.

Clemson beat Auburn who is the 2nd best team in the SEC bye a wide margin. Beat Louisville, FSU. Everyone thought OSU would beat Clemson last year. I think the score was 38-0 Clemson.

Keep in mind Clemson ‘s most important player was hurt the whole 1st half. And the rest of the game.

One thing everyone needs to understand. You must have a deference maker at the QB spot regardless how much talent a team has. If you don’t! You won’t win

Terrible fake play. QBs will miss that pass no less punters. Some schizz works in practice just because its practice. Don't want to try it in games going bad

Even if they lost to Middle Tennessee, they are playing better. We haven't improved at all since that game.
I like the way their offense looks, I wish we ran a spread like that. My only point is that Syracuse seems to do this to Clemson. They scared them in 2015 when they went 4-8. You can't say THIS is Syracuse when their body of work proves otherwise.

This is why I crack up when people say this is a 5-7 year rebuild. As if it’s unprecedented that a second year coach get a first down against a team with a pulse.

You do realize SU had been rebuilding for 8 years since Marrone left? One good season with Schafer.

Looks like the Syracuse A.D. made a very smart move in hiring a former Defensive Coordinator with no previous experience or proven track record as a Head Coach in Dino Babers.

Oh. Wait. Never mind.

Hey, that is funny. But, on a serious note, what did the previous coach leave in the cupboard? Who did Babers hire as his offensive coordinator? Who have they recruited? A number of their skill players are not from the Northeast. So they are taking on a national recruiting philosophy like so many other schools. I think that Babers has had a lot more to work with than Ash did.

lol and this board panned Babers

the RU program is nowhere near ready to come within 4tds of a national champion
Well I know @vkj91 certainly didn't and I didn't have a problem with him and thought he was a solid choice but not the top of my list because of his not great defenses at Bowling Green.

Lots of people doing the 20/20 hindsight now, although it's just one win albeit a extremely good one, when I don't remember too many going crazy over him then outside on one poster.

Clemsoning : “The act of delivering an inexplicably disappointing performance, usually within the context of a college football season.” A helpful example of use within a phrase is then offered: “Oklahoma State's overtime loss to an unranked Iowa State was a full-blown Clemsoning.”
