What's the harm you'll get it back one day, maybe when you are about 70 or so,us old guys have to stay around to keep an eye on you young pupsThanks for all of the great responses. Obviously he was before my time, but I always knew his name from my father. Pops wants this particular item, begging me for it. He's the biggest UK fan you'll ever see and turns 70 in a few months. I've got an old dad for my age.
Might just give it to him, or maybe not. He raised me to never let go of my STL or UK memorabilia. Not sure what to do.
Not me.
Claude described the game (and "talked" me into being a hardcore Cat fan).
But Cawood became family. Like Bill Keightley...not a celebrity but your favorite Uncle.

Mike Shannon had a Budweiser in each hand when he called Cardinals' games.Sullivan was excellent but I remember him more for baseball than football/basketball. His calls of the Reds was exceptional made better with Waite's trips to the Hudepohl cooler.
Borrowed his style from Harry Carey.Mike Shannon had a Budweiser in each hand when he called Cardinals' games.
I did too. Claude was just that good. I have an album called great moments in ky basketball and he does game excerpts on there and it gives me chills just listening to him again. Reminds me of when I was a kid listening. He was great. it's a shame he wasn't around longer.I actually enjoyed him better than Cawood
I take it the Phoenix hotel was demolished?
Yea very rare piece I thought. His private copy, press edition, and the 59 season, after Rupp's fourth title.
Wish I could get Rupp to sign across the front.
8.9If Cawood's a 9 out of 10, Sullivan was a?
