Oh wow surprised.....I guess known wife abuser Beard gets undeservingly gifted talent. IDK why Clark doesn't know who he is playing for. At least got Big 10 or ACC. I thought he had connections at Indiana a historic basketball program that I can at least understand. Also....... NVM not going to say more.

It is sad watching the program reborn in 1980, reach the penthouse, fall to the abyss, 45 years later.

To have a 100% roster churn, pending Parker, with not one player willing to continue at Seton Hall for 26-27 at least will prevent the bor from putting their heads in the sand and continuing with the status quo.

It will either light a fire with the bor, to build a new business model, or reassess being apart of this new professional basketball nba league 2.

Good move for Ole Miss. Clark's a very good 2-way player and tough competitor. Put some talent around him and he's a very solid PG.
Good luck. We can do better. Shoots 22 percent from 3 and 5'8" and can't finish. Kadary light years ahead and btw would have stayed with Sha if we were close, per Pitino. Accepted an upgrade for $1.5, anonymous donor upped $1 million, and he shopped it. Go sit in Beard's harem.

Chris Beard at Ole Miss is a better option than Indiana.

Wonder if the reason Parker has been sticking around is because he has a shot at being the starting PG next year.

I’m 100% in agreeement with this. Go rot at bottom feeder SEC Ole Piss for a bag. This cat came up incredibly small, literally and figuratively- against UConn, Johnnie’s and The Nova. Peace!

Remember when there was that campaign at Ole Miss to replace their mascot with Admiral Ackbar from Return of the Jedi? I think the student body actually voted in favor of it before administration and LucasFilm shot it down like a squadron of fun-killing TIE Fighters.

Only positive is that we’ll barely see much about Clark unless he makes the NCAAs since going to play Basketball in Mississippi is about as low profile as it gets. This is probably his last chance for A big pay day, so I can’t fault him for getting the max value. I also hope this was much higher than anything we would have considered assuming we did lay $2M on the table for him.

Let’s go Shaheen and Nellie; time to get this roster built.

Not sure I understand the Richmond/Pitino insert here. Clark and Richmond are night and day. Did Clark get at least $2.5 at Ole Miss? Wish Himes had gone there [too]. And regarding another post about Parker being the possible point guard on next year's team. Geez, he's the only guy on the roster. He has a shot at all five startiing spots right now!

Quite sure I’ll never hear the name Budd Clark again & Im ok with that. Can’t blame him for taking 4M though.

Point is Richmond apparently would have stayed with Sha if the numbers were closer. This from Pitino, so there was a sliver of loyalty and appreciation, but we had nowhere near the funds to get close to what Pitino offered as this was before revenue sharing.

We offered Budd $2.5 million and he bolted. Rumor is Ole Miss upped it, but who knows by how much. This was a terrific offer and Budd pretty much gave Sha the middle finger.

But so did Nova's star freshman PG to Willard -turned down $3 million.

And these guys are still getting full scholarships? 😂😂😂

Instead of leaving a legacy he becomes a footnote in the hall history book.
Just another journeyman on his 4th school in four years. Just the way it is today.

OK, but he couldn't have taken care of his family for $500K? I took care of mine for a long time on a fraction of that.
The difference is he probably doesn't have a college degree that is really marketable or high earnings potential. It was a one off for him.He wasn't getting drafted by an NBA team. He got 85k from the Nets as a free agent after getting cut.

At least I sincerely hope that we will no longer have to read about Clark on this site. Let’s reel in our new players and start the rebuild without complaints.
Amen to that..well said. One thing that this combination of the NIL and transfer portal has caused is this idea that the name on the back of the jersey is more important than the name on the front of the jersey. Long before the transfer portal, players came and went..whether is was a full four year stay or turning pro as a junior. Change was constant. But so was the undying loyalty and passion of the fans. College basketball and football teams alike have lost All Americans or Heisman Trophy winners. Yet programs adapt and change. The show must go on. Fans, alumni, students still filled their stadiums and arenas. There is a sense of pride that only exists in college sports. Clark..Hines..they gave us a great year. But Seton Hall will move forward. The show must go on. No one player is bigger than the program.

Clark won't be his wife so I guess it's okay.

There should be a counter at the top next year that counts the number of times the names Hines, Clark, and Willard get mentioned.
I will give you 3 individual names that will be mentioned more and only one will actually be on a sideline in college next season.

And I’m still waiting for the names of the UConn boosters if anyone has them. So when UConn starts the year preseason 1 and kills it they are at my disposal.

Gone are the days when John Thompson at GT had a deflated basketball on his desk and would ask what players are going to do with their lives after the ball stops bouncing.

Godswill a finance major with relationships at SHU. I guess he will continue his degree elsewhere? 😂

Here’s the deal. UConn was good before NIL. St John’s sucked, even with Pitino. They’d suck again without Repoli.
