At least 2-3 at crucial times too. Amazing what happens when you let a kid play and get comfortable. How many rebounds for put back baskets did Livingston have today. Huge baskets.

Him and Toppin. Toppin still needs to get tougher. But he’s scoring a lot more, and actually hitting some 3sHe has been the number 1 reason for our improvement IMO
So would Wallace, I doubt he will return with the guards we have coming in and his draft stock being so good most of the year. I haven’t checked it lately, but he would be killer as a sophomore.Livingston is the exact type player we havnt held onto for a second year and is probably the exact type player who would make the most impact coming back.
He will be PHENOMENAL next year. Huge “recruit”

Agreed. Exactly what I was going to post.I sure hope Livingston sticks around with next years incoming class. We’ll need his toughness
Well Livingston was projected around 10th before the year started. I believe Wallace was top 5, I haven’t checked thru the year though.Of course. So would John wall and AD
My point was we have lost a lot of players who weren’t going to be drafted first round bc they think they failed or this or that
I’d say it depends on the matchup and how CJ shootsSo here is my quandry with Livingston....
1. He's had two really good games back to back....and his effort on boards while Oscar gets so much attention...that is a huge shot in the arm.
2. But....we've been arguing for more Benny lineup....and Chris at the SF was the main guy in the way of playing the Benny lineup.
So when CJ is back....do you ignore the Benny lineup or do you replace CJ with Reeves at the SG and Livingston at the 3 and that is your best line up going forward.?
The key to the Benny lineup is having Wallace, reeves and CJ in. Think you could pair any 2 of Oscar, livingston, or toppin with them and be fine. We still have yet to see a game where all 3 of CJ, Wallace, and reeves were all playing their A game.So here is my quandry with Livingston....

I would give the current starting 5 the majority of the minutes moving forward. I think that is our best bet. Have Fredrick spell Reeves or Livingston when they need a break. And have Wheeler spell Wallace for a few minutes here and there. Think this gives us our best chance. Livingston is more than capable of stretching the floor and hitting 3s when he's wide open and not rushed and he's bringing so much more to the table now.So here is my quandry with Livingston....

This exactly. The Portal.I do not know about the Portal but he is not going to NBA.
Fredrick needs to be worked back in slowly. I want him healthy during the postseason. I want him coming in firing shots for 2-3 minutes, then heading back to the bench instead chasing guys all over the floor for 30 minutes a game. He is wasting his legs, putting so much energy into playing defense. Have him fresh the last 4-5 minutes of the game when it’s winning time. The key to the Benny lineup is having Wallace, reeves and CJ in. Some of you have been arguing for that Benny lineup. Personally, I think our best five are the guys who have started the last few games. Let CJ (if he gets healthy) spell Reeves and also move Reeves to the 3 when Chris needs a blow. I think we need Livingston's size and strength to play big boy basketball with the UT's and Alabama's of the world...as well as the teams we'll face in the NCAA (if we make it).So here is my quandry with Livingston....

This!!!!!! CJ is a role player. Not a 15 minute plus guy. Average shooter and can’t play defense at allFredrick needs to be worked back in slowly. I want him healthy during the postseason. I would continue to start Wallace, Reeves, Livingston, Toppin, and Tshiebwe. Bring Wheeler, Fredrick, Thiero, Collins, and Ware for briefs stints each when their guy needs a break (not collectively). None of those bench guys need more than 10 minutes a game, except maybe Fredrick if he gets hot, then play him 20 minutes max. The rest of the bench are just there to keep the starters fresh, IMHO.

He is actually a pretty good defender, but it is wearing him out with the effort he puts into it trying to play great defense for 30+ minutes. He needs to play sparingly and be ready late in tight games to come in and make big shots. He’s just not a 30+ minute guys for sure. 20 minutes max and part of the rotation at the end of the game. This!!!!!! CJ is a role player. Not a 15 minute plus guy. Toppin is very skilled but I am not sure I have seen a softer player than him every time he goes hard and gets hit he is holding something . This team has some really soft players unfortunately, we need more Wallace's mentallyHim and Toppin. Toppin still needs to get tougher. But he’s scoring a lot more, and actually hitting some 3
You say this and I can picture dozens of times it has happened. [laughing]Toppin is very skilled but I am not sure I have seen a softer player than him every time he goes hard and gets hit he is holding something . This team has some really soft players unfortunately, we need more Wallace's mentally
