I remember reading an interview with Perry about why he left UK. He said the team culture was toxic and didn't feel like it was a good fit for him. He also felt distant from Pope and wasn't what he needed from a coach.
I didn’t see any toxicity on the team his freshman year. That team started the year playing like they’d played together for years. If it was toxic it was hidden very well.

How can you? You weren't on the team and didn't have the experience and insight he had.

I know we’re all frustrated with how our season turned out. I also hold no bitterness towards Perry for transferring. Can we pump the brakes on acting like Pope failed him and Beard turned him into a star just because he made a couple of shots during a conference tournament though? He averaged 5 points on 34% shooting from the field this year, and that team finished 15-20.

Two dipshits that spend fifteen minutes “reading between the lines”.

I bet you fall for all kinds of crap on the internet. Low media literacy.
Uhhhhh, that is exactly why I posted it. It was most likely exactly where the other poster was getting his information. I didn't think I had to explain it to you but I guess I was wrong. It was posted to show that Perry never said it. Clear enough now or do you need a picture?

You replied to me with a link to a YouTube video with zero context given by you.

Try using your words next time.
Well, to be honest, I was busy with multiple things going on and was having issues posting the link. The first link didn't work right and I had to figure out how to fix it. I did have the words added but when I reposted the link I deleted the entire post with the words. At that point, I was like, "Oh well, they can see it and figure out that this is nothing more than 2 guys reading between the lines."

Apparently, his boys are not plague by fatigue….impressed how they played Bama.

he even said that fatigue is overrated, that all this guys play AAU and they are ready to play.

Also, he empowered Travis Perry. He played him a lot. Perry is still 6’1 but plays basketball the right way, bumps players, stays in front of the ball, rebounds, makes shots, communicates, boxes out….

sorry to say this, I think it makes huge difference to have a coach and not a goofy guy overpaid and acting like a mascot.

Ole Miss was not afraid of Bama…

That coach lost 12 of his last 13 regular season games and the player Perry was guarding torched Ole Miss with a career high 29 on 15 shots.

Another Pope hater, using anything to ***** about, glad for Perry, but you forget, half this board last season wanted Perry gone. Perry got to play off the ball for Ole Miss unfortunately because of injuries he had to play PG at UK and while he did a decent job, he was not a D1 PG and was given hell by many UK fans, let the boy alone and let him have his day, stop bringing him up on this board.
