I hated whatever offense he tried to run here where the ball stayed at the perimeter till there was only 9 secs on the shot clock.
I will say that I like Popes offensive schemes better but that’s not saying a lot.

This tournament has definitely been the highlight of Perry’s CBB career. It’s been a difficult two years for him, but it’s finally paying some nice dividends these last couple games. I’m happy for him.
No not stupidity. We are just tired of watching the program suck!! If that’s stupidity then you gotta be the dumbest of the lot. Enjoy the mediocrity.
I hope the next coach has zero ties to the state/program and doesn't recruit in-state players, unless they are McDonald's All-Americans.
And it’s morons like this that think they should be involved in Kentucky’s hiring process. 
I wonder which Perry prefers, running the Ole Miss team , assists, rebounds , score a few baskets , or watching Oweh and Aberdeen get the ball, no passes, and hoist up shot after shot, hitting a low to middling % most nights.

Yeah, the last 2 games may be his best 2 game stretch of season but not saying much. We will see how perry does guarding Acuff today or whoever on Arkansas he comically draws as his assignment.
And Jasper Johnson still dribbles too much, dancing at the top of the key, only to heave another 3 without passing the ball. He has done this all year. The staff either doesn’t work with him or he will not listen.
Chandler went from 2 ppg to 10ppg and 48% 3 point shooting(vitually identical to Richie Saunders Soph numbers) and half the board wants him shipped out or back off the bench lol. I don't think anyone but family members are pining for Perry

Love watching Aberdeen hit the backboard on a three and not even hit rim.
Perry can’t win. At UK- he can’t guard. Too small. Scared to shoot. At Ole Miss. can’t guard. Too inconsistent. Played a damn good game.

You can't help but notice that Noah came in full of confidence and played well for a FR last year, but seems to have lost EVERY bit of that.
Perry doesn't register to me either way. It's great that he finally had some good minutes in 2 games after 2 seasons. He could've developed that much here, regardless of who the coach is. But he left so I don't care.
What sucks is we, once again, have a million dollar kid on our bench that could play and just won't, a coach that isn't developing our team very well and doesn't seem to know what to do during some games, but also isn't knocking anyone's socks off on tbe recruiting trail. We had the first 3 things with the last coach. The idea was to improve with the hire, not take a step backwards.
It still feels like a step backwards right now. If we don't have a roster 2 deep and then some with talent for next season, then it won't likely be better anytime soon. We don't need a pudding-soft coach. We need an a$zkicker who can coach and recruit great without being an abuser, serial sexter, stalker, or sex offender.
Why is that too much to expect at 5M/yr?

I think it’s likely he is. I think that sweet 16 was just Kentuckys brand pulling a guy guys like Butler. They saw Kentucky and thought about the Kentucky they grew up watching. Pope had managed to erase that image in just 2 years.
Pope can’t be coachable for them!! He can’t shoot for them! He can’t make the rules for seeding in the SEC tournament! He can’t force kids to commit!!!! What do you expect!!!
I remember reading an interview with Perry about why he left UK. He said the team culture was toxic and didn't feel like it was a good fit for him. He also felt distant from Pope and wasn't what he needed from a coach.
I wish I could find it. It was linked on a Facebook page and really went deep into his experience and why he transferred. It was an honest heartfelt article.
