What kind of absolute bullsht is this nonsense. Listen to you, in your attempt to prop up this bad coach, tear down your program. This is what I’m talking about. This country is full of this cult like BS instead kf supporting the institution. It’s everywhere now. And it’s pure bullsht.

What do you mean since 2’000? Did basketball start in 2,000? What’s special about that date? You picked it and added up what we are since 2,000 to make the program look worse so Mark looks better. Let me help you because that cherry picked bullsht ain’t working here buddy. You ever heard of the logical fallacy called the fallacy of incomplete evidence? You just lost your position immediately in any debate.

Let’s start in 1996 instead of 2,000 48 months earlier. I’ll cherry pick this time. and now we’ve got 3 titles and 4 championship games and the number 1 winning percentage in the game. Ooo see that worked out for ya?

How about this. Mark is sucking at the all time wins leader, 8 national championships (actually more), and the vast majority leader and winning percentage leader (which is the proper metric) of all statistical categories in NCAA history. And he’s doing it in blowout fashion, currently the worst coach in some ways we’ve ever had.

That post was so fos I don’t even know how you typed it without deleting the entire thing. What kind of person even wants to prop him up? The guy is an absolute embarrassment do you get around? Kentucky is being mocked from media to social media. But no thanks on the logical fallacy I’ll stick to reality.
You are so weird. Spend your days posting novellas that day thr sane damn thing over abs over and over. What a Strange strange little man you are Morg. I lost count of the number of "Pope sucks" posts you had in the game thread today. Definitely on the spectrum

Cal cannot coach.
I hated whatever offense he tried to run here where the ball stayed at the perimeter till there was only 9 secs on the shot clock.
I will say that I like Popes offensive schemes better but that’s not saying a lot.

This tournament has definitely been the highlight of Perry’s CBB career. It’s been a difficult two years for him, but it’s finally paying some nice dividends these last couple games. I’m happy for him.

I hope the next coach has zero ties to the state/program and doesn't recruit in-state players, unless they are McDonald's All-Americans.

I wonder which Perry prefers, running the Ole Miss team , assists, rebounds , score a few baskets , or watching Oweh and Aberdeen get the ball, no passes, and hoist up shot after shot, hitting a low to middling % most nights.

Apparently, his boys are not plague by fatigue….impressed how they played Bama.

he even said that fatigue is overrated, that all this guys play AAU and they are ready to play.

Also, he empowered Travis Perry. He played him a lot. Perry is still 6’1 but plays basketball the right way, bumps players, stays in front of the ball, rebounds, makes shots, communicates, boxes out….

sorry to say this, I think it makes huge difference to have a coach and not a goofy guy overpaid and acting like a mascot.

Ole Miss was not afraid of Bama…
Averaging 5 points 1 assist and 35% from three this season...
Yesterday he played 33 minutes, scored 7 points on 3 for 9 shooting....and you want Beard and Perry to take a bow for that? LMFAO

Yeah, the last 2 games may be his best 2 game stretch of season but not saying much. We will see how perry does guarding Acuff today or whoever on Arkansas he comically draws as his assignment.

And Jasper Johnson still dribbles too much, dancing at the top of the key, only to heave another 3 without passing the ball. He has done this all year. The staff either doesn’t work with him or he will not listen.

Yeah, we’re all envious of the 15-19 and 15 seed (in the SEC) tournament Ole Miss Rebels. 🙄 This place is called RAFTARDS for a reason.
Good for Travis Perry. I always thought that he would be a contributor, but his shooting numbers have been 💩 all season though.
Please sever your typing fingers for this silly, knee jerk take please. (Kidding, sort of)

Love watching Aberdeen hit the backboard on a three and not even hit rim.

Lost 19 games?

If you say so - and if you can’t see this UK team isn’t better than it was 4 months ago - there really is no hope for you
You think this team has improved?

You think any player has improved?

I’m not sure what you’re seeing. But it’s not reality.
Pope missed the NCAA tourny plenty of times in his career. The poster you quoted may be referring to the fact that ole miss is advancing to the semi finals and maybe thats something pope has never done. Yes we hired a coach that had never won his conference, nor his conference tournament... and possibly never even the semi finals which I haven't looked up so I could be wrong.
I meant they beat Alabama.

Beard is so out of Popes league it’s not even a conversation. I hate saying it but pope is a bottom 2 or 3 coach in he SEC. Sometimes he’s the worst it’s just the other 2 havent gotten 20+ million in a few seasons to buy some guys. Pope might be the worst in the league lbs for lbs. probably is.

Every time I say something like that which is a lot, I’m 100% shocked every single time that he’s our coach.

Beard is at Ole Miss, one of the worst programs and worst NIL’s in the power 5. Ole Miss does little to nothing for basketball. He’s gotten as far as pope with Kentucky. It’s astounding. Of course beard can’t kill it at ole miss yearly my God it’s ole miss lol. Perry’s dad is a coach, he saw quickly Mark isn’t the guy to play for. IMO.
Pope is by far the worst coach in the SEC

I know. Pope had just been plagued by 2 seasons of uncoachable players.

Darn the luck!!

But when one leaves Pope they become coachable. Pope just can’t catch a break.

Wait until JJ and Moreno play for another coach. Pope’s bad luck will continue.

You can't help but notice that Noah came in full of confidence and played well for a FR last year, but seems to have lost EVERY bit of that.

Perry doesn't register to me either way. It's great that he finally had some good minutes in 2 games after 2 seasons. He could've developed that much here, regardless of who the coach is. But he left so I don't care.

What sucks is we, once again, have a million dollar kid on our bench that could play and just won't, a coach that isn't developing our team very well and doesn't seem to know what to do during some games, but also isn't knocking anyone's socks off on tbe recruiting trail. We had the first 3 things with the last coach. The idea was to improve with the hire, not take a step backwards.

It still feels like a step backwards right now. If we don't have a roster 2 deep and then some with talent for next season, then it won't likely be better anytime soon. We don't need a pudding-soft coach. We need an a$zkicker who can coach and recruit great without being an abuser, serial sexter, stalker, or sex offender.

Why is that too much to expect at 5M/yr?

Pope can’t be coachable for them!! He can’t shoot for them! He can’t make the rules for seeding in the SEC tournament! He can’t force kids to commit!!!! What do you expect!!!

I remember reading an interview with Perry about why he left UK. He said the team culture was toxic and didn't feel like it was a good fit for him. He also felt distant from Pope and wasn't what he needed from a coach.
