Some assistant coach got into his head. Not uncommon. Play on their fears just like politicians

Sounds like he going through some personal issues... and probably got a fat envelope from someone.

Is he the one we were told not to worry about and that he is just enjoying the experience? Pfff...some people never learn

Seems like a rational young man thinking through a big decision. Props to him.

Sounds like someone, maybe UF is convincing him he needs to get out of Mississippi, in case football doesn’t work out. As if North Florida is any better.

If football doesn’t work out, he’s most likely going to move back to Louisville. The hometown kid who plays for the college up the road is more likely to get job opportunities than the kid who bounces and goes out of state.

So considering the possibility that football might not pan out, and that he needs to make the best long term decision for himself makes him fit for a psych ward?

Unless he is a star at whatever school he goes to, he probably won’t be getting any great job offers from alumni. Hometown heroes are more revered for staying home.

Sounds to me like this Mississippi “born and bread kid” is destined to work at a bakery.

Apparently you don’t follow recruiting. But if you think a school offering someone a free education with the outside chance of playing in the NFL is detrimental to their future then you might be his roommate. How you can read that tweet and think he is a rational young man says a lot about yourself and our society.

Clearly the guy is gonna play football on a scholarship somewhere you dolt. I just don’t see how him taking into consideration the very real possibility that he may get injured, or not go pro, or both, and therefore making the decision that he feels is best for him makes him fit for a “psych ward.”

Another recruit, another gullible, attention starved drama queen. What else is new.

Been expecting this one for a while, more

Than likely a mutual parting and a possible
Indicator of traction with Young. Moore missed a lot of games this year and I don’t believe there were injuries involved.

He does remind me of something...

I am an MSU graduate looking for a job making low six figures. I have no appreciable skills or experience and don't want work more than 30 hours a week, because that's too hard. My main value I will bring your company is a small network of friends that I have from college whose father's and grandfather's were somewhat influential in very small Mississippi towns 30+ years ago. Oh, I was in a fraternity too. Please PM all offers by Friday and I will choose the best package when I damn well feel like it.

That's gotta be how all those OM dbags do it right? I remember seeing a resume and cover letter from one of those clowns about 10 years ago that said basically the same thing. My boss (who was an Aggie) was showing it around and laughing his *** off because the guy pulled strings to get the resume in front of him... we were looking for someone with a highly technical or engineering background and dude was a pottery major at Ole Miss. His work experience was something in tobacco sales at a retail type level. This in Austin TX, where a master's degree in chemistry is required to get a job changing oil..

It was the most Ole Miss thing I have ever seen.

So, I guess we are a little behind in the job networking department for our alumni, because if OM alum are willing to pull strings for pottery majors, they are all in on more than one network.

Go ask Fletcher Cox, Chris Jones, Preston Smith, Pernell McPhee and Denico Autry what kind of opportunities they received after playing at State (you can add Simmons and Sweat to that group in a few months). If Cousin Eddie is using this as an example of lack of opportunities, he is using the WRONG position group. If Moore was a WR, then it might make sense.

Damn! I wish I had a guarantee for a job when I graduated from State. I had to pay almost $20k to get my bachelor's degree and THEN I had to apply and interview for jobs. Then I had to work to move up into my current position.

I hope things work out for the best for him but turning your back on your home state after they stuck with you through your injury is a punk move. I'm sure the strangers in north Florida will take good care of him if the NFL doesn't work out or if he is injured (you know...like MSU did).

After doing some more reading it seems like the school to worry about is Auburn (surprise surprise).

I’m sure Mullen is still after him but I think they might be more of a stretch.

^^This. I smell yet another young man with unlimited potential about to piss it away with this formidable mindset of so many who have sold themselves into the slavery of self pity. Because of skin pigment.

I have no sympathy for this ****. The definition of racism is categorizing people by their race. Some folks do it to themselves, and blame everyone else. Idiocy.

Unfortunate since he is local and talented.

That post didnt exactly scream drama though. It cites why he is going to keep his options open- he wants to consider the potential post-grad opportunities various schools offer.
Thats something more people should do- Its one reason why so many for-profit colleges have lost financing- lack of post-grad opportunities.
