Got some friends in Knoxville and they had their day planned out and this has blown their plans up . Not happy .

This is maybe 10% about politics and 90% about the pain in the a$$ of attending a 12 o'clock game with over 100,000 fans expected and dealing with the extra security and such .

I completely understand why they are not happy. I was in the Charlotte area last week when Trump was in Gastonia for a rally. If you have never driven around Charlotte traffic can be a nightmare especially on the West side of town. They were closing roads and the interstates at times and It was a complete cluster. I can only imagine what it would be like in Knoxville on a game day. I had enough trouble navigating around Knoxville the last time we played there.

There’s literally no evidence at all to tie the drop in price to Trump’s attendance, as opposed to something else like….I don’t know….the fact that the game kicks off in 48 hours and just one somebody that wanted to turn a profit on their tickets was not yet able to find a buyer on StubHub.

Knoxville is a very congested mess on game day at best anyway and I just can't imagine how bad it will be Saturday morning trying to get to and get into that 12 o'clock game with this POTUS soap opera added to the scene .

2 things:

1. you support the office of the presidency, even when your guy does not get elected. Many seem to have forgotten that, and they need to grow the 17 up and realize that this country and your fellow citizen is bigger than one man.......Congress is greater threat anyway (damn gaggle of do nothing idiots)

2. I have really grown to despise at a high level, any sports team that U of TN places on an athletic field. They have done a great job of being easy to hate / despise over the past many years. Hook 'em horns!!

The only time I have ever been around a Presidential visit was in downtown Atlanta back when Bill Clinton was president prior to 9/11. He was in a different building than the one my deal was in, and it was still a huge hassle, even back then. I can only imagine now.

I've been to two sporting events when Trump attended.

2024 Army/Navy game in Landover, MD (Commanders stadium) and the 2025 Daytona 500.
Both were phenomenal atmospheres. I just had to make sure you got inside the stadium well prior. The Army/Navy "March On" is always three hours before kickoff so I mad sure I got in to see that.

Seeing "The Beast" go around Daytona with the flyover was epic.
