Chances UK beats Bama

What the heck….my guess is 60/40 win. We’ve got a puncher’s chance. It’s early, new coaches, elevated talent coming in…basically a retooled football program altogether.
The X factor: game is at home and there is something unique about a Kentucky football fan. We are always hyped up early season and have got to be one of the most loyal fan bases in spite of our history. Commonwealth will be absolutely rocking for this game.

Bama does not have a huge talent advantage over UK, at least not with the starters. UK's starting lineup looks pretty good. There are a couple of spots that are pretty thin but with this only being the second game of the year, hopefully we're pretty healthy going into this game. Games in the SEC are usually won up front and believe it or not, UK should have an advantage at both OL and DL. OL may be Bama's biggest weak link. If Bateman can confuse them with his blitzing scheme, we can cause havoc. Plus Bama will be breaking in a new QB making his first start on the road. We need Commonwealth rocking.

How can you make a prediction of thaat game when we’ve never seen our team play. Right now I say Alabama beat us 45-0. There’s gonna be a lot of holes in this team. It’s not gonna be a complete team. There are some strong players in certain positions, but then the rest of it who knows we don’t know.
You've predicted the upcoming basketball season looking bad without seeing them play lol . 45-0 at home is hilarious 😂.

They are not the invincible team they were or haven’t you noticed.
i have noticed. we arent a team that matters or has talent....if you havent noticed. most have us picked in the bottom 2-3 in the conference. i dont know where this bravado is coming from.

Kentucky will be a fairly sizable dog in this game, IMO largely based on the fact that it's a new coaching staff with a relatively new roster that hasn't had much time to polish the schemes and work the kinks out. I honestly believe if the experience factor for both teams was the same this would be toss up game. Cats need to lean heavily on their big talented O-line which I think may give them an advantage up front.
and catching Bama early may be key. I know better, but I believe!!!! Coach Stein seems very confident … win or lose I think this game can be a tone setter for the season. GBB🏈

If you haven’t noticed talent he has brought in then you have an agenda.
bringing in talent doesnt matter if its still the worst talent in the league. being ranked 23 in recruiting rankings yet 13 SEC rank higher and thinking you achieved something.

stien is in the honeymoon phase. a 4 win year will change that

Most expect a 4-5 win season as this is a brutal schedule. I think 3rd toughest in all of college if I remember correctly. You can ***** and moan all the way. If you can’t see a difference already that’s your problem. Also, 247 has them 10th best recruiting class and Alabama as 15th in 2027 So suck on that as well as the offensive line being 3rd ranked in the country this year. Lots of upside if you’re a true fan.

2027 doesnt finish recruiting until next year......rankings now are pointless. but if they make you feel better have at it. i'm sure all those 3 stars will just crush it in years to come

I like all his 4 stars he signed so far too and your moving goal post a bit there tiger. We are talking about preseason rankings are we not? So you only want to talk about preseason that serve your agenda or something? Talk to Me about 3rd best offensive line in the country in his first year. You mad about that?

What’s so scary about Alabama? Seriously? I expect Kentucky to win at home. Last I checked, Nick Saban isn’t still coaching there.

Tidefan_in_DC is everything point counterpoint with you, you can’t be a Kentucky fan with the way you talk about our team. I see you just joined last year and you must be a young kid, because you don’t seem to know much.

Alabama under the new regime appear to be in slow decline, so it's not inconceivable that we could steal one.
But they are still light years ahead of us in talent.
It will certainly show us what caliber of coach we have in Stein.
I would rather beat TN

It felt like 5/10 before Nick Rousch decided to go run his mouth about it everywhere, no need to give any extra motivation. I've said it before on here, Bama is going to be really good this year. Our hopes hinge on them starting a R-Fr in his first true SEC road game. Their defense is going to be really, good. Their O-line should be vastly improved, which improves the run game(they added a stud freshman RB as well), and their receivers are all really good. They have continuity this year with their OC and DC, Debor is a great coach, they will be a monster this year.
I couldn’t disagree more. I think they go 8-4 at best.

Bama isnt "Bama" under Deboer . Its just not - they self sabatoged themselves deliberately turning from a Saban Tree coach. Bad for them good for us.

Can we beat them absolutely at home. Do I favor us no way but I would say 30%. Speed can beat Bama abd Speed we got. Alot has to go right but its not unheard of post Saban .

Thats the game I am going to

We will be able to make a much better assessment of the chances of beating Bama in week #2 after the first week of the season.
Right now, I would not be able to make any kind of even "semi-educated" guess. I just do not know what to expect from the Cats yet.

If this was the 10th game of the season I would say we wouldn't have as good a chance to win. However, we are playing them in game 2. Bama won't know what we're doing on offense. They will be breaking in a new QB too. People see BAMA on the jersey and think thet are unbeatable. As others have said, Saban ain't walking through that door. They had 4 losses last year.
