Oh yeah, the roster after the top 3 is garbage and will be again next year. I’m just saying that it’d be interesting if a WNBA team actually spent the money and went after a good coach from outside the WNBA instead of recycling the same old group of coaches who mostly couldn’t succeed at a high level in the NCAA. I’ve said it before. The supposed hall of fame, greatest coach in WNBA history couldn’t hack it at Indiana State. Meanwhile she’s only had great success in the WNBA when her roster has been stacked with several of the best players in the league, otherwise her teams fold in the playoffs.

Oh I have to point out that I called Reeves’ team folding in the playoffs earlier today.

Jawing with a fan, that’s probably ok. Leaving the court to confront a fan, that should be a T at minimum if not an ejectable offense. Could you imagine a football player jumping into the stands to confront a fan because the fan yelled and pointed at him. ( Aja said in the postgame presser she was mad the fan was pointing at her)

Fever security escorted the fan out, interviewed him and witnesses in the area, determined he did nothing wrong and he was allowed to return to his seat. That’s the second time this year against Las Vegas, that the Aces had a fan escorted out, only for the fan to be returned to their seat because it was determined nothing was done wrong.

Wilsons a great player, B UT in her career she never moved the needle selling tickets or TV viewers. Never had her own shoe until Clark came in the league. Probably never had commercials (at least not nationally). Its funny, now you see Aja, Paige, Fudd, Diggins, Hell even Bird's been in a couple and she's retired. How much of that was going on 4 years ago. I don't remember seeing WNBA players on national TV commercials before that.

Why did Wilson have MVP's before Clark was drafted and yet didn't get a hurriedly rushed shoe deal pushed out until right before Clarks. Why did Vegas like so many teams move to bigger arenas after Clark came in. Why didn't Aja sell those seats being the best player in the league, the game, whatever?

In other news, Collier is now an UFA. Fever need to hard after her and be willing to let KM walk to collect an overpaid contract somewhere else. Then you go out and find a 3 and D veteran SG(someone relatively cheap) to pair next to CC and you may be cooking. That SG spot will be hard to fill if you can’t get some of Billings’ contract cleared out of the Cap.

Still need a backup Center without much money to spend. Hope that Lexi comes back to form at SF. Keep Harris and hope that Raven develops as a backup guard. Timpson is backup to Collier and continues developing. And let Sophie walk to get rid of one of the major distractions.

That’s a roster that should be improved on D and have a chance to fight for a top 4 seed in the playoffs if healthy. They’ll likely have about $3MM after the estimated salary cap increase in 2027 to fill 5 spots, plus figure out if they’re going to increase Clark’s contract. That’s going to be tough to do. Unfortunately with the bad Hull and Billings contracts likely sticking around, plus Boston being overpaid next year, 2028 is the true target season.

Should be more like the WWF (Now called WWE). Went to a wrestling event with a buddy from work many moons ago, and we each took one of our kids. My friend John got into a pissing match with Mr. Perfect. Perfect told John it should be him in the ring with him. I got mad and told Perfect not to talk to my friend like that. Next thing you know, he turned his eyes to me and motioned me to get in the ring. I immediately shut the hell up.

In 1999, Monday Night Nitro came to Cedsr Rapids. A buddy and I lucked into front row seats. There were 3 guys next to us in their mid 20’s that were drinking heavily all night. The last match had Macho Man vs Kevin Nash. At the end, Macho Man beat the crap out of Nash and was putting lip stick on his face. You don’t see it on the video, but can kind of hear it, Macho Man started yelling out to the crowd, “You want a piece of me, come on, come in.!” The 3 drunk guys next to us, must have thought that was an invitation and jumped over the gate and try to get in the ring. 2 of them were stopped by security quickly, the 3rd guy actually jumped from the gate into the ring and promptly got attacked by Macho Man.

He was all happy and thought he was cool being led away in handcuffs. In typical CR fashion, the rest of the fans in the arena started throwing beer/pop cups into the ring.
