As mentioned before , not a bad night for the 11th best guard in the WNBA. lol
This team is cooking right now. Big 3 is playing great, obviously. With that being said, I think the biggest reason for the surge is the emergence of Ty Harris. She is a dependable release valve on offense. Can shoot and handle the ball when it ends up in her hands and plays pretty good defense. Lineup of CC, KM, AB, Harris and timpson is hard to stop. Mix in some Sophie and Lexie at the 3, and Billings at the 4.

Yeah last night was brutal with the unconverted assists.

"Just wait until she's playing with WNBA players"
They said in college, when dealing with blown assists.

I know it's impossible to convert every layup, but it's pretty terrible at a times. Need to keep videos like that handy when people complain about her turnover numbers (yes she has some sloppy/lazy turnovers).... But you gotta convert on these assists at a higher percentage

Amazing. I thought it was just a couple of posters here who thing it's important that for the good of the league that they be proactive for ONCE instead of their usual process of sticking their heads in the sand. "Nothing to see here". If this isn't an issue, then why has EVERY other women's professional sports league adressed this topic?

Why not promote Caitlin Clark to viewers???

Instead, look who was chosen

Imagine the NBA not using Jordan, Kobe or LeBron when promoting their teams.

Just a league run by morons

Wow, The two best players on the Wings vs Hull and a rookie who plays the last minute of mop up time in an average game. You can't make this stuff up....

Pretty funny right? So having someone who can actually pass the ball at the right time in an exactly the right place is NOT part of the equation? You think theres a reason that most of her career in college and the W, Clark has been the inbounds passer? You know the best facilitator in basketball? Shocking right?

Gunning for John Stockton's thought to be unbreakable record
Unfortunately there isn't a chance in Hell CC22 will get close to that record. Stockton played in an amazing 1504 games averaging 10.5 assists/GM. that's almost 16,000 assists! Looking at the NBA's 82 game schedule and the Jazz being a playoff team most every year. If Clark played in 50 games a year she'd need to play around 31 seasons to make a run at that one.

Dude you’re obsessed with it. Funny how they didn’t multiply like rabbits and take over the league.

I'm not obsessed with ****! YOU made several posts that there has NEVER been a trans player in the W, AND mocked posters for saying otherwise. The ONLY thing I did was post factual evidence that that's not correct. Still you refuse to walk your statement back and admit you were wrong. I've never said they were multiplying. But you'd have to be blind to say its not something that needs to be addressed as it has been by every other governing body of women's sports leagues.

Pretty sure they will more seriously address and resolve the eligibility issue after the conclusion of the season.

As I’ve said before, Engelbert is an ineffective Commissioner but to resolve the issue now - as the regular season is reaching crunch time - would be exceedingly dumb and distracting.

I truly hope you're right. The issue is that it already is a distraction right now as they go into crunch time, and its not because of posters talking about it here. Its on sports talk shows and even generic GMA type shows on a daily basis. Maybe say we're going to sit down at the end of the season with the players assoc. reps and come up with a definitive policy.

Please explain how the passer is part of the equation in the cutter getting open on that play.

Did KM’s defender go for a ball fake?
Did CC wink at the the help defender sending them into a tizzy?

And the main reason CC was the inbound passer at Iowa is because it was easier to get the ball back to her using America’s Play or their double down screen action.

Oh, "Legend."

You have so many requests of others!

Well, here's a request for you: could you please explain why you have not yet posted your list of things that CC gets away with that no one else in the league does?

From 6 days ago:

She [Caitlin Clark] also gets away with things no one else in the league would get away with.

Oh your right of course. If Km gets open but the passer can't make the right pass at just the right time, she's gonna score on her own isn't she? It takes both players. That's all I said.

See, that IS the point. Without being pushed they were NEVER going to address this. That would seem pretty obvious by now......

CAITLIN CLARK OVER THE LAST 10 GAMES:
26.3 PPG
9.4 APG
3.5 RPG
50.6% FG
42.5% 3P
32.7 MPG

If she had done that all year, she would be the MVP. Unfortunately, she really struggled to transition back to playing the first 10 games of the season, but has improved in each of the last 10-game segments. CC has played 30 games this year, and has 10 regular-season games remaining. If the next 10 games are like the last 10 games (and the Fever secure a home court playoff series), she will lock up 1st-team All WNBA, and perhaps ascend to MVP runner up. Seems like the season start takes MVP off the table.

Yeah last night was brutal with the unconverted assists.
The only thing I'll say in defense of her teammates is A. let's first acknowledge that CC is one of an absolute select few on this planet that can fit passes into near-impossible windows that no one else would expect passes to be made into.....
B. Just because she CAN do that............doesn't always mean she should. And by that I mean just because you can thread a pass between three defenders to a teammate.....who is surrounded by those 3 defenders, some of which are taller than the person catching this hypothetical pass......doesn't f***ing mean she should always make that pass, because what do you expect the outcome to be?

Congrats....you have successfully made an impossible pass to a teammate who is surrounded and probably has a lower percentage shot opportunity than if you (CC) would've just kept it yourself.

This is also part of where some of her turnovers come from, which is why it's always funny hearing the casual haters latch onto how Caitlin is easier to guard because "you can force her into turnovers"....meanwhile more than half her turnovers are just her f***ing trying impossible passes that 99.9% of the population would never even think to attempt, which coincidentally has next to nothing to do with the defense on her.

Last night was the first time Harris had scored since July 22nd….not exactly an emergence.

Yeah, KM has been amazing, but she’s just too one dimensional whereas CC is getting points and assists. There is also the chance they take votes from one another which could impact their overall position in the final voting.

And your list of things that CC gets away with that no one else in the league does might impact voters, too!!!

Yet she still generated more points than Mitchell in most of those games.

To be honest I just can't find it in me to care about this kind of petty sh**.

It's one thing to shake your head at things like CC being voted the 11th best guard by the players.

It's another to get up in arms about every little promotion they do that may not have CC in it.

It's a promo................put the f***ing mascot in there for every game for all I care.

I hear what you are saying but last night those were just blown layups. Not impossible catches and conversions.
