Bleacherreport has veterans Nastasha Howard at #8 and Courtney Williams at #9. Last years B/R did not have either in the top 20, nor even honorable mention. Did Howard and Williams just figure out how to play basketball or are they riding a strong breeze up in Minneapolis? Just me, but I don't take these lists too seriously.

Imagine going to the LSU board and bragging up Caitlin repeatedly and then when people slam Clark you say CDS... you'd get the same responses there. You kinda have to expect it here, no?. I figured you were trolling too...having some fun like "he who won't be named"...but you're really rolling with it.
Likely, and I do expect it here. I think a lot of people have a negative bias about her, and over the years I've realized she's actually not all that bad (person-wise and skill-wise.)
I do understand her flaws (shooting and turnovers) but I think she brings a lot to the WNBA and is a lot better than people give her credit for.
You just don’t get it! Angel’s shots are all right around the hoop. Caitlin is a guard whose shots are a lot farther out. Somebody needs to knock you upside your head so maybe you’ll see the difference.

I think CC and PB should be flipped. Otherwise it seems normal. Gabby Williams was actually a surprise. I think the fever fans snuck KM in there.
Really? See this is the different scale she is judged on. Ahem. FASTEST player in league HISTORY, (13 games ) to reach 250 points and 100 assists. Again that's ever. NO ONE has done that in 13 games. How many of AB's or KM's points have come from those 100 assists? Her shot has been off other then a few games. Still she controls the game like no other, and we're even seeing some improvement of her defensive effort.

You're acting like I said she was off to an awful start. I didn't. I said rocky, as in up and down, which is pretty accurate.
She's played 13 games and I could make a pretty good argument that she's had 4-5 below standard to bad games already.
If you don't consider that a rocky start then I guess we have different definitions.

CC is shooting 40 percent overall on the year. 40 percent.

Her shot is broken right now. This season. Etc etc. it’s awful and no one can defend that percentage. She simply has to be much better. Don’t be one of those “fans.”
The whole fastest thing is becoming a bit overplayed. It’s true. But it’s also true that her ovrall shooting is preventing her from being one of the better players. You can’t shoot 40 percent from the field. It’s abysmal. With the turnovers added it’s just way too many wasted possessions. The lack of efficiency puts just a bit of damper on all of the “fastest” stats.
An interesting, and somewhat scathing, article from ESPN regarding how Nike fumbled CC by delaying her shoe. I can only imagine the money they could've made if it was released during her rookie year.

Lololol.. so in these "fastest starts" to ANY career, I assume you have gone back through all the players who have come before her and analysed how their numbers were attained? Add to that were ANY of those players defended the way she is? Under the pressure she's under? Have someone hanging off her shoulder constantly with few fouls being called? Even when she's not shooting well she creates offense for her team, both by her passing, and her gravity, giving her team mates many open looks per game.

yes she’s guarded differently. Yes the officiating is questionable.
But she misses a ton of open shots especially 3s. And some of the TOs are just sloppy.

Miles, Paige, and Kelsey Plum have been better this year. They just have.
So, below whose standard. Regardless of her % she's averaging around 20 and 8. How many players in the league are doing that? It seems like people are expecting her to run out there and drop 32 and 10 like she did at Iowa. Problem is she's playing against better athletes on a nightly basis and the league/refs, whomever are letting her get grabbed at every turn. The pressure on her has to be other worldly, yet she handles it most of the time pretty well.....
You’re not being rational. 20 points at 40 percent shooting is inferior to 19 points on 51 percent shooting. Far inferior.
Her volume and inefficient are a problem at this point. Just way way way too many shots to get to 20 points a game. It’s clear as day.

She's a loose cannon. She always has been. That's one of the things that made her must watch TV, and sold so many tickets. People want to see her do the next incredible pass, downtown shot, AND lose her sh-- at the refs. Its ALL part of who she is. You seem to want to reign her in, just like White seems to want to do. That won't be CC22 your watching when that happens.
You act like its every game. She also had NINE assists in just over the first quarter. Do you factor in all the open looks her team mates get because they have to chase her 50 ft from the basket? Is that what happens in Dallas and LA?

CC is the best playmaker in the league. Phenomenal. And she needs her teammates to finish better.
But her shooting woes are her own. And they are keeping her from being among the top 2-3 guards this year. At least thus far.
