It’s so tiresome. Look, the league has a ton of flaws. We all know it. Same **** over and over. The Fever have actually played incredibly well considering what’s happened to them this year. Mitchell and Boston have been absolute rock solid all year long. Theyre down to bringing in players off the scrap heap at pt guard and going to have probably the same amount of wins as last year.
I agree.

Ok, just some context in the "same amount of wins" as last year. Last years opening schedule was brutal. They're still talking about the opening 10-12 games from last year and how bad they got screwed. I believe they started 1-8 with the team trying to figure out how to play with CC22. After the all star break Sides just let CC have her head, and they took off. Her numbers after the break were other wordly, and the team had the 1st or 2nd ranked offense in the league, and that was with Smith and some of the other dead weight they were carrying. Without question they have been rocked by injuries and have stayed resiliant, but players on many teams have missed long stretches of games this season, including Collier, Wilson and Reese. The league as a whole has an injury issue and its made for sporadic play with teams going up and down all year.

Alyssa Thomas has a good chance to break CC's assist record from last year. CC averaged 8.4 per game last year in 40 games. Thomas is averaging 9.3 per game in 32 games this year. With seven games remaining, Thomas needs to average 5.6 apg to pass CC. She has a ridiculous 31 assists just in her last two games. She has four 15-assist games this season.

CC was averaging 8.8 apg in her limited play this season. She'll have plenty of chances to re-break the record if she can remain healthy in future seasons. I think a lot of us feel that CC is capable of averaging 10 assists per game. I think she was close to that after the All-Star break last season.

Assuming she has a long, mostly-healthy career, CC will blow away the career assist record, which belongs to Sue Bird. Bird played 19 seasons, but only averaged 5.6 apg.

Thomas is a can’t miss Hall of Famer who is a legitimate triple-double threat. One of my favorite players who quietly gets the job done.

Looking at Thomas' stats, she's only at 5.0 assists per game for her career, which sounds low given what we've seen the last couple years. For most of her career, her assists were under 5 per game. It's only the last four years when she really turned it up (6.1, 7.9, 7.9. 9.3). She's a solid scorer, low to mid teens average, but clearly CC will significantly outperform her in that area.

The Fever, given there adversity, have done an admirable job.

But KM and AB have been 2 constants, playing I believe every game for the Fever this year. And it’s a team fighting to make the playoffs.

Yet they’re viewed as cornerstones for an eventual title contender. Which doesn’t make sense rationally.

I won’t rehash my perspective on the roster. But ultimately CC won’t be playing with KM. Which I think long term will be good for the Fever. Then it becomes how you find a 2-way 2G or wing and an interior 2-way player that can help elevate the Fever into that next tier.

Nobody sees any funny business with the league continuing to report Clark as day-to-day? We knew she was out for the season the day after that second injury. The WNBA is criminally deceptive.

Fever 0-3 vs LA. Will they get a Win tonight? I want to see all 5 starters in double figures. A little help from the bench would be nice as well. Bibby and Timpson available.

It doesn't feel like the Fever are playing badly. The Sparks just seem to get red hot whenever these teams play.

It's weird seeing Lexi with two black eyes. I did not realize she got clobbered that badly. I did not see the play when that happened.

3 Fever starters, Boston, Sims, and Mitchell in double figures. Hull and Howard, a combined 2 points. Fever down 3 at the half 47-44.

The Fever have 15 more shots than the Sparks. The problem is the Sparks haven't shot worse than 49% against the Fever this season. They are at 55% tonight.

Sweet spin move by Howard. The Fever are looking pretty good now. The defense has improved as the game has progressed.

Howard, what are you doing? Don't dribble to beneath the basket with 2 defenders there. Turn and put the shot up.

The Sparks scored 31 in the first quarter. They've only scored 34 points total in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters. It will still take some big shots down the stretch to get the win.

Howard's shot is not falling tonight. There have been a couple big misses here at the end.

Sims in the clutch again with a 2 point floater. Biggest stop of their playoff lives coming up for Indy.

Big win at LA. This puts the Fever 3 games ahead of the Sparks. The Fever have 5 games left and the Sparks have 7. This probably seals a playoff berth for the Fever. Now, they need to try to finish with at least the 7 seed, so they avoid having to play the Lynx.
