Honestly, I think a sizeable number of the W players/coaches/management do not want any publicity, and actually liked it when no one cared about them or put them under a microscope. Mind you, that is a terrible way to try to make money, but I think it is true. I also think there is a sizeable number of the W players/coaches/management who truly like/embrace the machismo and hard/dirty fouls. Mind you, that is a terrible way to try to make money, but I think it is true.
I liken it to reality shows. They want drama no matter how they can get it to make people want to tune in to see what crazy schnanigans will unfold in the next game. Sow hatred and division must be their "business model".

Who is the player that elbowed Lexi in the face and only got a technical in yesterday's game? TIA

People are impatient is the problem.

And speaking of expansion, Golden State is already pushing for a playoff spot in year one.

The talent pool is going to be growing as the old guard phases out of the league, so yes.....expansion is necessary.

The money will also come, it's just not gonna be what the players want, nor is it gonna be enough to quiet the haters who mock the league for how poor they are.

The last and most important thing, which goes back to why the old guard needs to gtfo of the league, is you look at these standings, and one common thread is how these teams are beating each other up, both figuratively AND quite literally very much to the detriment of the league these players believe should be paying them more, regardless of how bad a look it is that the excessively physical play is something the old guard in particular wants the league to be known for............

The more open the game becomes, and yes, some of that also falls on improvement of the officiating, the better the league will be received by all viewers.

Tuesday's home game vs Seattle is close to a must-win for the Fever. They are currently a half game behind Seattle. Their recent home losses to the Wings and Mystics really hurt them.
I’d go a little further and say the next three are critical for the Fever:
Seattle 8/26
@ LA 8/29
@ Golden State
and may finally decide their playoff hopes as these 3 teams, along with Indiana, are the 4 teams vying for the last 3 playoff spots —- and all 4 of these teams currently have exactly 18 losses.

Lose all 3 and you’ve probably dug a pretty deep hole with 4 games remaining, especially since the regular season finale is at Minnesota.

I was thinking the Lynx may sit their best players for the final Fever game on Sep 9th, but I just noticed that will not be their final game. They play another game on Sep 11th. They'll probably sit players for that one.

At the 1:09 mark in the 2nd, Skylar Diggins caught Shey Peddy around the face. Peddy went to the locker room. Didn't see any malice on the play.

I have the league pass, but despite ESPN saying that’s an option, seem to only be able to watch if I sign up for a free Fan Duel Trial. Geez. Just listening to live feed on Fever app, sounds like fun game for a change…

A good, easy win tonight. They needed that. They've played well against Seattle this season. Now, we need to root for the Mercury to beat the Sparks tonight. A Mercury win would bump the Fever's lead over the 9th place Sparks back up to two games.

The Fever got everything they needed last night, from themselves and Phoenix. Now the Fever go to the west coast to play LA and Golden State. They really want to win at least one of those two games. Defeating LA on Friday would bump their lead over the 9th place Sparks to 3 games, which would be huge with only five games left. The Sparks are obviously beatable, but Kelsey Plum has owned the Fever the last couple seasons.

It shows when you say people haven't been saying things that they absolutely 100% have been saying since they all started watching the WNBA when Caitlin joined the Fever last year........................

Thanks for being honest, though. 😃
It’s so tiresome. Look, the league has a ton of flaws. We all know it. Same **** over and over. The Fever have actually played incredibly well considering what’s happened to them this year. Mitchell and Boston have been absolute rock solid all year long. Theyre down to bringing in players off the scrap heap at pt guard and going to have probably the same amount of wins as last year.
