You do realize that all but two players did not sign a contract beyond this year.

This CBA was in the works long before the world knew who was Caitlin.

(This is where you all tell me I am stupid and the league is only one person.)
I don’t think anyone seriously disputes the new cba was going to be better than the status quo even if cc never happened, it just wasn’t going to be 4x to 5x better.

Caitlin's the biggest star in the league but this is a disingenuous comparison.

That Fever exhibition game was in the middle of May with no other sports competition on tv. Game 2 of the WNBA Finals was going against Sunday Night Football.
Query: if it’s such an easy way to print money why has no other team done it or planning to do it?

Usually they do them every 4 years or so and the last one was 2020 where they increased the salary cap by 30%, introduced the Supermax, and established revenue sharing.

But ya, right after Clark came into the league.
I think you’re missing his point. This is the most the players have ever been organized partly because they have never had more eyes on them. They have been forced to take what they’re given, but this new era of women stars are going to stand up and fight. Again, because viewers.

Then they should have said that. They implied they've never organized at all.

Kind of piggybacking off this idea, but does anyone think the new deal for the WNBA might influence JuJu's decision to not use her redshirt year and turn pro after the 26/27 season?
Just curious because she'll likely threaten CC's scoring record.

I really don't think she will. You have to remember since her injury USC has brought Jazzy, (the #1 recruit in her class) will add another #1 player this next season. Their roster is totally different then the one Juju played on. She's coming back from an ACL to a TOTALLY different team with two other number one recruits and a couple of top 5 classes. The dynamic will be totally different, I I doubt they're all going to stand around and watch Juju score 35 a game, and not be way more involved then the very young team Juju played on before. If anyone is going to make a run at the record i'd watch out for Mikala Blakes at Vanderbilt, but she's got a long ways to go given Clark averaged basically 30points a game the last 2 seasons.
