What a magnificent turn-around! Players playing with effort! Guys making shots! The team playing good defense! Lots of hustle! Coach actually calling timeouts, drawing up plays. Team and coach both look like they are having fun.

I expected us to get blown off the court but I see a team with some heart out there today. Whatever we did different for this game, I hope we keep it up.

Great team defense !!
Cannot believe that Tenn is sending 4 to the boards and letting us run out a little bit. Oscar is providing leadership.

We are better when we are the hunter, rather than being hunted.

But Wheeler can't guard anybody. Wallace is the best option at point. He can beat his man off the bounce and he can shut guys down.

Wheeler is a double whammy, he throws the ball away on offense, then gets taken to the rack on defense.

We don't need DeArron Fox, we just need Marquise Teague.

Keep in mind, he’s dealing with back spasms too. This is not the game you wpuld use to try to prove Wallace isn't any good at point.
I do think Wheeler is the cause of our defensive deficiencies.

Yeah but at what point do we stop complaining about offensive styles and realize the fact that we just might not have a very good offensive team personnel wise.

I feel like if this team is going to do anything of note, it'll have to be on the defensive side of the ball. Create some turnovers, get out in transition. This team will have to win differently than other UK teams in the Cal era IMO.
But we do. After we gained our composure, we scored over 30 on the best defense in the country. Know what it did? It created defensive energy we don't see when our offense struggles.

“John Calipari dismissed from basketball operations for inappropriate conduct….”

Whelp. This is a day for surprises. 😂
Can you post that again? Lol. No matter what happen for the rest of this game, Cal showed in the first half that he is capable of coaching when he wants to and isn't too damn stubborn to make some changes.

I just don't like it when players get criticized for doing what their coach wants them to do. Reeves showed that he can be effective at the point with some screen action. That is a coach using his imagination to get the job done with the players he has and not with the ones he wishes he had.
UT hasn’t been pressuring the ball coming up the court.
That’s going to change in the 2nd half.

Wherever you were watching the game. Whether you were laying down, sitting up, or on edge of the seat. Keep it the same.

Volume level on tv, keep it the same.

If your wife was in the bathroom during that 1st half, tell her to stay in there.
My wife knows that if we’re playing well, she needs to stay in the room she was in. Well-trained.

Good first half defense. Gave up 42 in first have to South Carolina at home, and only 25 this half. Maybe it was good for them to get out of town away from all local scrutiny for a day as well.

Cal may have given a hint on this team’s issue this year during halftime interview- playing soft.

Please tell me what Wallace did. The team is playing better without Wallace on the court. If you can't see that it is because you don't want to see it.
Wallace had played ok but ppl acting like the difference is him over wheeler are simply just taking the easy/obvious thing or already we’re anti wheeler.

The difference is Reeves and CJ have played more minutes together than they have all year instead of either/or. And we are playing guard oriented basketball instead of purely trying to forcefeed the paint.

Now we believe that Wallace is dealing with a back issue? Just yesterday this board was going on and on about how he was faking an injury and wouldn’t play another game lol.
