Without going back and watching this painful film again, he was inconsistent at best. Early on, he had good rhythm, was getting his feet set and getting the ball out on time. Watching today and some of his Texas game film, throwing the deep routes has not been his strength as he tends to underthrow. The first TD was a beautifully placed ball. The second half, NW figured they could handle us up front without much back help so the safeties could get some depth and keep things in front of him. He missed a really bad deep ball that was wide open and at least one out that was a basic pitch and catch. Then he got to drilling the ball in the underneath stuff and combined with throwing it behind the receivers is going to get you in trouble. Were not both INT's from tipped balls by our receivers and thrown behind them? Sure, you can say, it you can touch it you can catch it but when you are a TE and have to turn completely around you are asking a lot. The lack of a running game didn't help as well. There certainly was no reason to run play fakes.
