Very reminiscent of pollards teams at Duke, would always seem to lose steam as the year went on.The BA Virginia ranking seems weird. But then their RPI is 19th and their record is a fairly pedestrian 28-13. They seem to have lost a lot of the mojo they had when they played us (4-6 over their last 10). Definitely a team nobody wants as their 2nd seed in a Regional.
As expected....
Definitely in 2013, we were #1 overall seed that year.Have we ever been ranked #1?
Last year? Geez my memory. Also in 2013.
16th, ours is 19. Two top-50 series in conference so far (Michigan & USC) with Oregon still to go. Unfortunately they don't play NebraskaAnyone know ucla’s strength of schedule? Who do they play in the BIG??
Last year after we beat Clemson for the ACC titleHave we ever been ranked #1?
Last year? Geez my memory. Also in 2013.
We’re 3 in DSR which they’re using this year. We’ll be a 3-6 seed assuming nothing catastrophic happens to end the yearAt #7 in RPI with three 12 or 13 loss SEC Teams ahead of us currently
Oh dearWe’re 3 in DSR which they’re using this year. We’ll be a 3-6 seed assuming nothing catastrophic happens to end the year
They’ve won 21 of their last 22 gamesWhat in the world in Kansas doing up there?!?
I get their record… but they’re not a baseball program and have been mediocre in a “second tier” big 12 for most of their existence. They’ve won 21 of their last 22 games
Brings in the question....are polls for that specific season or career achievement awards?I get their record… but they’re not a baseball program and have been mediocre in a “second tier” big 12 for most of their existence.
I see they made the tourney last year for the first time in 11 years… and promptly got bounced in 2 games. Guessing a lot of that team came back??
I see their RPI is 14… double their ranking. And they’ve yet to play WVU, the next best team in the big12. Guess it will all shake out in the postseason…Brings in the question....are polls for that specific season or career achievement awards?
I say the former. But there's clearly a debate to be had when viewing them...and there are even differences in the many pollsters out there
