BC making a push up the rankings....and interesting the gap for Virginia between the two polls......
Ranking 8-25 in baseball is abt impossible. Makes it nice to have multiple publications with some variance. But like in hoops, tournament/host site resume can be far from the rankings. Don’t see why it is, but thankful more groups have gotten into bracketology for us to consider alongside rankings
The BA Virginia ranking seems weird. But then their RPI is 19th and their record is a fairly pedestrian 28-13. They seem to have lost a lot of the mojo they had when they played us (4-6 over their last 10). Definitely a team nobody wants as their 2nd seed in a Regional.
Very reminiscent of pollards teams at Duke, would always seem to lose steam as the year went on.
Definitely in 2013, we were #1 overall seed that year.
Heels were ranked #1 by D1Baseball after the ACC tournament last season, but we received the #5 national seed in the NCAA tournament a day later.
16th, ours is 19. Two top-50 series in conference so far (Michigan & USC) with Oregon still to go. Unfortunately they don't play Nebraska
Played 3 vs TCU non-conference and swept through Tennessee/Arkansas/Mississippi State at the event in Texas.
SOS will likely drop the next two weeks with series vs sub-100 teams.
