I don't think average, non psycho message boarders, know about the NIL collectives and that they can donate to get better players. You don't think fans already know that? They living in caves?

Because of their age?I don't think average, non psycho message boarders, know about the NIL collectives and that they can donate to get better players.
Seriously I think you need to at least donate $100 WinkingYou don't think fans already know that? They living in caves? The fans that don't already know/understand NIL aren't going to be the ones donating money to the collectives. "Hey honey, did you know that if we send DONU $50 we might get better players? We should do that!"
Saban, Ryan Day and other coaches have publicly asked for nil donations. Would be cool to see NU coaches, AD, and admin ask for donations. You don't think fans already know that? They living in caves? I would send an email to season ticket holders saying Rhule is wrapping up a nice class but the NIL collective could secure a few more commits with the help of a small $25 donation.Saban, Ryan Day and other coaches have publicly asked for nil donations. Who aren't going to send any money to pay some player they've never even heard of.Because they are casual fans
Instead he publicly said he doesn’t want to see anyone selling “Haarbergers” after our first 3 game win streak in 7 yearsSaban, Ryan Day and other coaches have publicly asked for nil donations. Would be cool to see NU coaches, AD, and admin ask for donations.
They absolutely would. They're not sending it to a player. They're sending it to the football program in their mind. Posters with QR codes to donate in every Husker bar and store around.Who aren't going to send any money to pay some player they've never even heard of.
Maciejczak is listed on the DL roster and is 6-3/320. Low 3* per Rivals, but will be hard to move at his size.Fair point, but I don't see much for size/talent at the nose position.
Get an offer from Ohio State and compare them to NU: Got to take the OSU one at this point of time sadly. Good school with a winning program and probably some nice NIL money. When a program goes down it is very difficult to get back up as we are seeing in the past 20 years or so. Wish we all had the answers but will take alot of time.Jones was my #1 recruit and had been since summer.![]()
I believe he was practicing with the OL at the end of the season. I think it was in the practice update thread.Maciejczak is listed on the DL roster and is 6-3/320. Low 3* per Rivals, but will be hard to move at his size.
Would be really cool to see a head coach just donate like $1 million publicly to the efforts. Are there any rules against this? It seems like it would be really easy for an athletic department to launder a bunch of its own money to the NIL initiatives through their coaches. "Sure, we pay this guy like 30% more than market value, but he's like totally worth it! Plus he donates millions back to the success of the program through NIL!"Saban, Ryan Day and other coaches have publicly asked for nil donations. There are ways around any ruleI'd like to know the answer to whether or not this is legal to. I suspect not. It would literally be the definition of a coach paying a player...hard to imagine that's legal but who knows.
Radio advertising is about creating awareness. It’s all you can do. Offer the name of the advertiser so that the listener knows who to call or look up on the web. For Husker fans sports radio is probably the best way to create that awareness. They need an in your hand, easy to do right now kind of thing. You can't scan a QR code to donate from a radio ad.
it is explicitly illegal.I'd like to know the answer to whether or not this is legal to. I suspect not. It would literally be the definition of a coach paying a player...hard to imagine that's legal but who knows.
Just think if every fan would donate that. Why just season ticket holders? They've been getting screwed for 2 decades nowI would send an email to season ticket holders saying Rhule is wrapping up a nice class but the NIL collective could secure a few more commits with the help of a small $25 donation.
Whoever proposed a small state tax on here had a great idea in theory. But illegal, unfortunately.Just think if every fan would donate that. Why just season ticket holders? They've been getting screwed for 2 decades now
I already pay for tickets. Already pay a "donation". Would only make sense to throw a few more bucks in to try and improve the product on the field. I think they could send out an email to season ticket holders in the spring when tickets and donations are due and hit people up for a small amount. Otherwise send it out now or towards the end of the season. Make the vision clear about what the collective is going to do.Just think if every fan would donate that. Why just season ticket holders? They've been getting screwed for 2 decades now
They would have to get that email list from the athletic department and I would assume that’s against the rules. IF they’re a season ticket holder and they can’t figure out how to donate to NIL, they’re morons. The ads for 1890 are everywhere.I'm surprised they don't hit up season ticket holders through email. At least I've never been solicited for NIL.
Yeah, I'm sure soliciting donations for a rural fire department would be just as successful if they put up a billboard as opposed to sending out an envelope with a free calendar. Everyone knows where to drop off the money but somehow it never gets there without the envelope in the mail. They would have to get that email list from the athletic department and I would assume that’s against the rules. Matt Rhule should start a foundation. The foundation, run by a 3rd party "steward", can direct that foundation money go to any number of other non-profit entities...say, the 1890 collective. Matt Rhule, the largest contributor to the foundation, has no idea or say in where the money goes, just that he's "proud to support causes near and dear to his heart."There are ways around any rule
I think all of these "I'm leaving" tweets are full of ****. Jones should just say Nebraska was the backup plan if a better school (in his opinion) didn't offer and just leave it at that.Oh, this kid is full of ****. Just be a man and say you’re moving on dude. I see he’s got his visit lined up with tOSU for Dec 8.
I give it two weeks tops before he commits to them, probably sooner than that even.
Edit: if it’s grades/classes, that stinks
Why isnt there a monthly subscription to a public funded NU NIL collective? Run it like a Patreon. People sign up to have $5 (or more) a month deducted from their bank account. Cancel at any time. Funnel all that money at the players or for a specific player. People who give get some sort of incentive. Creative a effective marketing campaign and get it to the masses. I have friends in bands who do this and get people giving hundreds of dollars a month just so they can be part of the club. Doesnt seem that hard

One question I have is how does the collective know who to approach and offer money to if the coaches aren't allowed to tell them who they want?Great but I still believe average fan doesn't know anything about this or how it works
Easy. One question I have is how does the collective know who to approach and offer money to if the coaches aren't allowed to tell them who they want?
Great, but is this the only one? I honestly thought this was just a deal for big corporations to buy into. Their marketing is beyond stale and boring. Get the average fan excited to be part of the program. I dont want to get a free belt buckle and golf balls and be part of their podcast. There has to be cooler ways to fund our team.Products For Sale - 53 Listings | shop.1890nebraska.com

They should let donors over a certain level literally hand a player cash in a brown bag or in a drive thru bag. Would be great fun and would certainly get a bunch of donors.Great, but is this the only one? I honestly thought this was just a deal for big corporations to buy into. Yup. Examples like this are a dime a dozen. I like the concept (I mean - I hate it in terms of corruption, but in terms of Husker football I would love it all day) but as I learned just today, employees of the University are prohibited from donating to NIL. You are right that the time to "cheat" is now; if it's not expressly forbidden, do it until the powers that be expressly take it away.Bernie became a multi millionaire by hiring his wife as his campaign manager and paid her millions from campaign donations. A total scheister if there ever was one.
We should do the same with big ten money. Hire someone at university for five mil a yer and they donate half to nil. Easy.
Figure it ot trev its what you are paid to do. Otherwise gtfo of this conference.
Ideally you would do personal contacts but I don’t believe the AD can legally share booster and ticket holder information with the collectives. Sooooo exactly how do you mail them? There is a legal disclosure when you provide information to NU that says it won’t give your information to outside entities.Yeah, I'm sure soliciting donations for a rural fire department would be just as successful if they put up a billboard as opposed to sending out an envelope with a free calendar. Everyone knows where to drop off the money but somehow it never gets there without the envelope in the mail.
There are how things should be and how they actually are.
